Girls, How would you feel if your husband was giving your son guns to carry to school in order to keep him safe?

After the recent school shooting, your husband has decided to give your husband has decided to give your son a hand gun to carry to school. In addition to this, he also went the extra mile of purchasing an ak47 for your child for him to use in case there are multiple shooters that he needs to defend against.

How would you feel about your husband being this protective of your child?

That’s not being protective that’s being stupid and risking his own safety. Do you know how many kids shoot themselves every year on accident? Gun deaths is literally THE #1 leading cause of death in children even more than auto accidents (according to the CDC). Most of those are suicides and accidental discharges, If you give him a gun you are literally asking for an accident to happen and you obviously don’t care about his safety because giving a child a gun is quite literally statistically one of the most dangerous things you can do as a parent for your child.


(Also we all know he’d obviously never be allowed in the school and the parent would probably face criminal charges)

i can say my ex boyfriends best friend killed himself accidentally by playing with guns and we are in our 20s when this happened, what makes you think a kid in school is gonna know how to use it.

I would be very worried. Do kids even know the consequences of pulling that trigger? Do they have an actual idea of the impact they can cause? Once you pulled the trigger, you can't reverse it. I wish schools had like big gates and some weapon scanner so nobody gets to go in armed.
