Girls would you want a man to carry a pistol for protecting you
Nothing wrong with carrying concealed, I lived in the US for 10 years, carried concealed for 9 of them when it became clear that the police would not be there when needed, and contrary to what one political party would have you believe hand guns and rifles are not ‘weapons of war’ alone, they have other purposes, a couple are feeding your family and controlling vermin, which in some cases they are the same thing.
They are for defence when someone is trying to kill you whether you are going about you lawful business or in your home.
When you carry concealed you do not go out looking for trouble, there are many who carry concealed who have resolve problems without violence because they know that if they have to use violence (with or without the hand gun) they will be held to a higher standard by Society and the Courts because they carry concealed.
When you gain a few years you’ll realise that this like many things is not black and white but shades of grey.
The vast majority of those who carry concealed invest a lot of time and money in training, in most cases more that many Police Departments do, to become proficient in the use of what they carry , so in that when they need to use it it will be in a controlled manner.

I've found women don't care regardless of whether they're left or right as long as you don't push an ideology/agenda on them.
Never one time have I had a woman ask me to carry a gun (I'd be suspicious as hell if she did), nor have I had any complaints, and only twice curiosity to learn more about guns.
It might also be because if I'm meeting a girl from online, or hooking up, my primary reason for carrying isn't to protect her, but in case she's trying to rob me, has a boyfriend or what not.
There is zero reason for me to be captain save a ho if I'm not in a relationship.
For protection I bought my wife a concealable type III vest and a pistol. Simply being there, two people together and not looking all shady is enough to deter most situations unless you're buying crack or something.00 Reply

If there is a war around me I would prefer to wear more protection for me and my partner, plus much more effective killing tools than a side arm.

If, for whatever reason, and I truly hope not, you are in a public setting, you find yourself hearing gunfire coming in your direction and you find yourself, or you and a loved one, in an inescapable situation involving a run of the mill thug or wacked out mass shooter, if you happen to survive, please feel free to post the emotions you had during your ordeal.

To add to my previous reply, I like the idea that the bad guys know there is, at the least, a 50/50 chance his intended victims will thwart his plans of becoming his next victim and that the idea that he, the assailant, will be the one occupying a fridge down at the morgue.

@Pterodon
He's from the UK. Look at the pedophile pic on his profile. It's like a 12 year old girl.
I live in a city of about 200,000. At least once per month a crazy fuck goes on the rampage downtown with a machete. What would a dude like Poppy do in that situation? Poppy is afraid of guns, but loves Brits stabbing people and throwing acid in their face. When I turned 18, my dad gave me a.38 five-shot revolver. I carry it in my car. I live in a red city, and there are still tons of crazy fucks on meth. I want them all put to death, but bleeding heart men like Poppy love crazy criminals.
When my brother and I were kids, we played with the kids across the road. Later in life, one of those boys and his gang robbed a 7-11 store. They knew they were on camera, so they forced the clerk to get in the car at gun point. They took him to the woods and put a bullet in his head. I couldn't believe my pal could do that, but he was on drugs that men like Poppy are OK with. I hate that we need guns, but I also don't want a bullet in my head. - +1 y
@Pterodon Not even that. If someone is that scared about someone trying to hurt them, you should frankly be more scared of someone with a knife then a gun.
A lot of the times if someone pulls a gun out at someone, they are trying to get the other person to stop. Most of the time if you pull a knife out on someone there's a 90% chance you want the other guy dead.

Also before you try to tell me about how rare crime is, it's NOT look it up SoCal people are robbing everyone in broad day light even im Beverly Hills and all the spots the rich hang out, guns and all, infront of everyone and the police can't get there in time. So 2A will be my savior.

America is awash with guns yet has one of the world's highest crime rate. Obviously guns aren't a deterrent. Perhaps they are the cause.
- +1 y
@purplepoppy gee let's think logically if you take away from law abiding citizens, then the criminals have them, due to lefties like yourself (lucky, you live in the UK) y'all let everyone cross the border and bring more and more in and then argue for less punishment for criminals? What sense does this make so now your saying law abiding citizens should lay down and take it. That's insane. We need our guns to protect themselves it's not about blowing someone away for fun. Clearly the majority of us our disciplined and don't reach for our weapon first and never even think too unless our life's are actually in danger. So ask yourself if owning a weapon and carrying is wrong, why aren't the most of been in jail or on the news for self defense? Even if we shot someone in self defense we still have to go to court and defend our actions. Even though we did nothing wrong.
- +1 y
The stats clearly show only a tiny proportion of people shot are criminals who deserve it. Your far more likely to shoot your wife for burning dinner than a robber. Just compare Americas murder rate with the rest of the world, guns cause crime they don't prevent it.
- +1 y
@purplepoppy that's because criminals know not to try a man with a gun, u less they wanna lose their life too. And that is due to poverty due to again leftist bad policies. They make the broke, broker and do nothing and then defend criminals with lighter sentences and the kids grow up to think their gang-gang so of course the gangs going at it are all genocidieing eachother.

+1 yI've never seen the point of carrying a gun. They are awkward - why carry the extra weight? If someone really wants to save lives, a first aid kit and training is far more effective.
I'm about 60 now and not once in my life have I wished I had a gun, or been in a situation where it would have made things better.
The people I know who carried guns for work, (including an intelligence officer operating in a hostile country) hated them. The risk of your gun being stolen, or leaving it in a car or something was just too high13 Reply- +1 y
When a guy is trying to pull your daughter into a van are you just going to throw that first aid kit at him? When your wife is getting dragged into an alley you don't want her to be able to walk out of that? Sometimes the life you save is your own.
- +1 y
@BoopBoopBeep But how often does that happen, compared with someone chokes on their food, falls off a cliff, or is hit by a car, or stuck in a snowstorm in the mountains. I've seen all of those, but I've never been in a situation where I needed a gun. I've never been attacked, or robbed, nor has anyone with me.
I have a far large chance dying from other things I do, the tiny chance of being attacked isn't worth the effort of carrying and keeping up my training to use a weapon - +1 y
Three times so far. Good enough argument for me.

+1 yLol I don't know if I see myself carrying my piece wherever I go solely for protecting my woman.
Honestly, I have guns mostly because of my distrust in the government and society. The image in my head is less of some dude trying to rob me and more of some attack on our land taking place (or something) and people/criminals just run around like it's the purge.
The actual likelihood of ever needing it, I'd say is about the same likelihood that I'm ever going to regret not wearing my seatbelt, which is pretty minimal.
00 Reply 846 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. No thanks, I still wouldn’t feel safe around him if he has a weapon. Plus I believe firearms shouldn’t be available to civilians at all. Americans have so many gun violence crimes in their country, Canada doesn’t need to end up like that.
Besides, there’s other non lethal options you can use to defend yourself. No one dies and the criminal goes to jail in the end.
Shooting a person solves nothing, something that people have a hard time understanding.
24 Reply- +1 y
Your logic is flawed.
If a country has more violent people in it, then:
1. it needs more of it's sane people defending against it with guns.
2. the people who run or police the country are going to be made up of those same people you think shouldn't have guns, some good, some bad.
The second amendment exists literally because people previously thought like you do, and died to totalitarian threats as a result. - +1 y
I agree with your opinion, tons of countries that have gun laws are on the majority peaceful places to live. Guns are definitely part of the American way of life, we were never exposed to that culture, other than for hunting purposes.
Not saying guns are good or bad, its just what people are taught in their upbringing. I have no use for carrying a gun. It just isn't necessary in Canada.
I used to carry, but I sold my pistol. Saving up for a new one to start carrying again. I believe it's what any responsible man should do as part of being a well-rounded, competent man. You should have some ability to defend yourself and besides being physically fit and having some martial training, a pistol is a perfect tool for self-defense.
Asker+1 yNo it isn't. A pistol is a weapon of war. It's for killing. Not for defending yourself from other civilians.
Asker+1 yWhy do you need to shoot someone to shoot someone's life. Society isn't a war zone.
- +1 y
Have you seen Detroit? Some places are a warzone.
What do you think people should do when they are robbed or mugged or attacked? Just succumb and beg for mercy? Criminals either have no care for your life or sometimes are psychos who want you dead. The real question is why shouldn't I be able to shoot them or do whatever it takes to defend myself? Why are you putting odd demands on how I should be able to save a life, whether it's my own or someone else's? - +1 y
Because I want my wife killing the SOB that's trying to pull her behind a dumpster and she's not going to do that with harsh words and glares. That's when you need to shoot someone to save someone's life. When did society get so overrun with these beta cucks that don't want women to protect themselves? Isn't that the complete opposite of the feminism they preach?
Asker+1 y@BoopBoopBeep what's wrong with pepper spray

It's not magic freeze spray. It's irritating to be in sure, it isn't going to stop me from doing what i'm intending to do.
Asker+1 y@BoopBoopBeep then you're retarded. 99% of self defense is pushing them away/deterring them and making them think twice. Smart people think twice and disengange.
- +1 y
smart people think twice. dumb ones don't. in the ground i don't care how smart they were.
- +1 y
@myownman2
Pepper spray can backfire onto you just as easily as it can for your assailant. Items like tazers and knives require you to be close with your attacker where they could overpower you. A firearm is the most effective tool for self-defense.
Firearms are reliable, easy to use, compact, effective up close or at a distance, and a great deterrent because nobody wants to get shot so they'll often leave quickly when faced with one.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNo, I want to be safe. I wouldn't want any mentaly ill person around me with a gun and those thinking they can be used for protection are people I dont trust at all with their mental health. Also I like people to be alive around me.
Also I dont normally mind small dicks but if you feel the need to carry a gun anyway, my instinct tell me there is like a shitload to compensate. So I guess that maybe is one of those that are probably too small.412 Reply- +1 y
Let me know how using harsh language against an armed person works out for you 😂
Only idiots think guns can't be used for self defense. Why do you think any form of law enforcement carries them? Guns are used for self defense all the time, and they are quite effective at it.
Also making tiny dick jokes just makes you sound retarded, never go full retard. Literally no guy uses guns or cars or whatever other purchase as "compensation for penis size", its an old tired excuse made up by lowbrow women to discredit any valid reason for a guy to buy something, just because she doesn't like it.
Opinion Owner+1 yThat's the thing. We have working gun laws where I live. I don't ever need to be scared to be against an armed person. If someone pulls a gun at you and you think pulling your gun is gonna save someone the shooter wasn't gonna shoot anyway, or the result is they are quicker. Police is the one exception but they are also trained for many years and they dont need to use the gun as often as one might think. Well if you dont compensate for your size, than for something else, which doesn't make it any better. Let me translate the joke to you: If you feel the need to have something, that another person you want to impress is obviously not impressed by and doesn't want you to have, the worst thing you can do is ignore that and have it anyway. Even if you didn't want to impress the person if she thinks that all you want to do and thinks it's a bad idea it won't help you.
- +1 y
Laws do not prevent crimes, criminals by definition are people who break laws.
What prevents a shooting from even being planned is a kind community that supports eachother (this includes civilians, police, military and gov).
What prevents a shooting after its attemped, is an armed defender, ie a person with a gun.
If you have less shootings, its because of 1 or both of those 2 reasons, not because of laws.
The US was founded by attacking the British ruling class who oppressed people, in various instances both before and after, the governments here have attacked its own citizens because said citizens were unarmed and they could. This issue can happen anywhere, but because of its frequency in our history here, we aren't ignorant to that danger, so we put a safety measure against it in our constitutional laws, which is above all of our other laws.
Police brutality harsh enough to result in police commiting murders is common here, and personality screening favors bullies, some are good people, but its few and far between, because the majority of our kind hearted citizens are not willing to take high risk jobs, so most of us do not become police officers.
The mistake you are making is assuming that these people are not just regular citizens, they are not grown from some special cop breeding program. - +1 y
The joke is stupid, most people do not get guns to impress, and impressing someone has nothing to do with relationships or sex. Most gun owners have it for self defense reasons, and of the ones who show off their favorite guns for aesthetic or capability reasons, are showing them TO OTHER MEN WHO LIKE GUNS.
On what backwards ass logic are you trying to relate that scenario to dick size? Plus even if a guy did show them off to a woman, it says nothing about his dick size, nor would a guy be dumb enough to think having a gun would make her stay if his dick was tiny.
I'm above average down there, but men who have micropenises are basically inconsolable, they are not going to get a confidence boost from ANY shiny trinket, tool, car, weapon, etc. Only boost they will get to confidence is from a woman with a very tiny/short vaginal canal. - +1 y
Also our gun laws have gotten stricter over the years, and shootings INCREASED as a result.
No one shot up schools when they taught students how to use rifles IN school.
Opinion Owner+1 y@TheSpaceGnome Than why do gun-laws work in most countries that have them? This speaks against your argument. Also evidently in most countries where people had guns to "protect" themselves against the goverment, these guns where used by an extremist faction against democracy while claiming power for themselves.
- +1 y
I already explained why:
"What prevents a shooting from even being planned is a kind community that supports eachother (this includes civilians, police, military and gov).
What prevents a shooting after its attemped, is an armed defender, ie a person with a gun.
If you have less shootings, its because of 1 or both of those 2 reasons, not because of laws."
Also the US is not a democracy. Voting is rigged, and a true democracy would not have a central figure leading the country, it would have citizens directly voting on bills instead of people. There are no democratic countries, just various forms of dictatorships, some stricter than others. - +1 y
Name even 1 country where citizens sign bills with a majority vote.
- +1 y
Another thing worth noting is that there are not enough police to manage every area (and there never will be). It takes time to reach the destination, and by the time they reach the victims, people are already dead, so relying on them alone is foolish. This is why teachers are being armed and why stores have armed security guards.
- +1 y
The US is also a melting pot of every other country's citizens, it's a country built on immigration, so its more likely to have more people disagreeing with eachother.
Opinion Owner+1 y@TheSpaceGnome Swiss for example. But I agree with you on that note, america is a bit far from democracy. Citizens voting directly on bills is not a necessity for democracy. not even the earliest bigger democracies where like this. You confuse direct with indirect democracy. Indirect democracy doesn't mean dictatorship.
So the easy and better way would be to prevent shootings with a supporting community. This doesn't seem to be the goal of most people.- +1 y
Gawd. Im a gun owner and your alls responses here more or less proved her point. Getting all defensive about your dick sizes and defending your power to take someones life, as if thats something to be proud of.

+1 yFunny thing is many leftist women will be like “I don’t like guns. Don’t carry one”. Then you ask them what you should do if things get out of control. Their response “call the police” however just the other day these same women were screaming “defund the police!”

@BoopBoopBeep it’s funny how a gun can be a great equalizer.
Tbh it’s kind of sucks that we have a society where there are so many guns that if you don’t have one you are very vulnerable.
But these idiot liberals keep saying “well look at Australia” and “look at England”. Well Australia “bought back” 640000 guns. If the USA did x100 times that (64 million) there would still be 350 million guns in circulation.
It’s impossible to make them all disappear. You have to live with it. - +1 y

40 Reply 721 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. I don't know, I personally think the desire to carry a gun is a relic of tribalism. In many cultures traditionally to carry a weapon was synomous with being a free born male member of the society. Ancient Greeks were one of the first cultures where it went out of fashion to go about armed in public, because Greek males expressed their freedom through their votes. I am not sure I believe guns should be outlawed, but we don't really need to carry them in my opinion.

Asker+1 yFrom chat gpt because I don't have time to argue facts:
The name "El Shaddai" is a Hebrew term that appears in the Hebrew Bible and is traditionally translated as "God Almighty." While some have suggested that the name could be associated with violence or war due to the possible root meaning of "shadad" which can mean "to destroy".
It's also worth noting that the Hebrew Bible contains other names for God that are more specifically associated with war or violence, such as Yahweh Sabaoth, which means "Lord of Armies."
Asker+1 yThis is why Jesus (YahwehShua) said he did not come to bring PEACE. Hence a MAN would smack you into submission. If he was a true Christian. It's also worth noting that YahwehShua (Joshua) was also the man who killed the Nephilim (Giants) in Canaan. Genocide.
