I would start with this simple fact: of ALL of the people who went to trial at Nuremberg (199 trials, 161 convicted, 37 sentenced to death), including people who were on trail for Crimes Against Humanity, not a single person ever made the claim that the Holocaust didn't happen.

Many argued that it wasn't their fault, or that they didn't know about it until it was too late, or that they were just following orders, but NO ONE said "that never happened." It wasn't until the 1970s - an entire generation later - that the first claims that it didn't happen were even made.

One of the big reasons for that was because Eisenhower KNEW that, eventually, people would be in such disbelief at the scope of the crimes that he ordered that EVERY PERSON who lived within 20 miles of a death camp be marched through one, giving them a nice long tour and to see the prisoners who were still there, because even though the camps were being liberated, the war was still ongoing and there weren't initially enough resources to deal with them - hospitals were already overcrowded and understaffed with war wounded, tons of people were already homeless, etc. Perhaps 30 million Germans saw those camps with their own eyes, along with countless Allied forces. Lots of photos and movie footage was also taken.

More over, several million prisoners survived - many just barely, but many went on to live long lives, yet they wore those prison tattoos forever, to bear witness to what happened. Lots of them were Jewish, but there were many others as well - people from other countries that the Nazis decided were unfit, as well as homosexuals. There were survivors from all of those groups, and they all had stories to tell. Thousands and thousands of stories. There are books and movies and videos and magazine and newspaper articles of those stories that would take many thousands of hours to read.

The evidence is absolutely overwhelming - including the fact that you can visit these camps today, and while the buildings were torn down in most cases, the foundations of those buildings remain and no development has taken place.

Holocaust deniers aren't interested in evidence, though - only their own feelings. We have several generations of people who have grown up being told that their own feelings were the only "facts" that actually mattered, and if something makes them feel bad, they can simply decide they disagree, and that's that. You can't have an argument with people who can't even agree on a standard of evidence - and you'll find that such people will give you absolutely NO standard by which you can hold them accountable.

We have such a person on the Supreme Court, sadly. Ketanji Brown Jackson was unable to provide a definition for what a woman is, because "she's not a biologist." Any 8 year old anywhere in the world can tell you the definition of a man and a woman, but not Jackson - not because she doesn't know, but because if she provides a definition, then she has to be responsible for that definition, and will be unable to change it later - and that's precisely what she's against: any kind of accountability.

Holocaust Deniers are Interested in Evidence that's why they keep getting arrested for providing evidence according to their job duties. I believe the Holocaust happened because there are public records and photos of people who dissappeared in German territory. Entire French Villages with history and records and ties to other Villages in the area being wiped out. Where do 600+ population Villages go after the SS pays them a visit?
