Thank you guys for sharing a bit of your experiences. I am sorry that life can be unfair at times. Some people don’t deserve to go through pain, but they still end up going through it. Life is like a pack of Sour Patch Kids. It has its sweet moments, and its sour moments. I hope that everyone is able to heal the best they can. 🤗💜

I nearly ate a broccoli with some weird white thing on top of it. I remember getting angry since I had to finish my vegetables before I can indulge myself with a delicious bag of gummy bears that my mom bought for me from Walgreens. As I was about to bite the broccoli my mom (who sat next to me) grabbed my arm and yelled "DONT EAT THAT." Still angry, I ignored her and proceeded to bring the broccoli to my mouth as all that was on my mind was the gummy bears. My mom grabbed my arm again and told me that something was on my broccoli. As my eyes focused on the little green tree, my heart sank. A rush of fear surged throughout my little body as I have never seen something so grotesque (aside from witnessing my dog eating his own poop) in my 10 years on planet earth. It was white, hairy bald (if you know what I mean, and had rolls all over its body. It looked a big ass worm. I screamed and threw the broccoli at the wall in an attempt to kill whatever the fuck that satanic "thing" was. I never looked at broccoli the same after that incident. Luckily I ate my gummy bears tho.
My parents were so old when they had me.. I was a neglected child.. I received no love or affection... how bad was it? I feel like I didn't grow up... I'm still scared to approach or get close to people.. I always feel I'm unwelcomed and too much
Yes I lost my ability to hear my own sound as a fourm of anxiety I guess, so I need to stay silent as if I realize I hear my own voice I enter a kind of a panic mode where I am completely non-responsive, I always black out this times, so for me its kind of like being somewhere then feeling exsusted most of the time on the floorq some time later feeling like I woke up from a nightmare, at times can "wakeup" somewhere else So it hunts me, been with planty places that try to help and its not as bad, even that its still there and I mostly commuincate with my phone or paper this days, except when someone knows sign Dont really know if it will ever leave me or let me go

For the most part when someone ask I just say I am a mute, because it makes it easier to move on
My dad was extremely abusive towards my whole family. I have a big, lumpy scar on the back of my head which you can feel easily, from a glass frame being smashed over my head by him.
I was abused in a few other ways by some other people but I’m not as comfortable talking about it.
It’s not happening right now. My mum got us out of there a few years ago and we’re doing much better now. It’s court ordered that he’s not allowed anywhere near my siblings or me.
I don't know if it counts but i had an abusive stepdad an junkie family member that attacked us once a year and i was bullied for 6 years or something now im working out about 6 times a weeks and have a slight depression or rather id call it a big sad than depression and i suffer from flashbacks everytime more than 3 dudes team up to roast me even when funny
i appreciate ur help but what they gonna do i man the bullieing stopped when i got stronger due to working out my abusive step dad is redeemed and really changed the junkie got clean and when clean he's a lovely person so what should change
No…but I have mid forties trauma. The series of events included a horrific tractor trailer accident that I was driving, flipped over and ejected me from the cab. Followed by a divorce, an internet scam that robbed me of $125,000, drug addiction for 5 years heavy, ex communication from my youngest daughter and about 5 arrests. I had never before in my life come so close to mixing up a lethal does of cocaine and heroin to quickly make everything go away…including myself.
My point is…. trauma of any kind, the source and the timing are very very serious. I had to undergo years of trauma survivor’s counseling to be able to forgive myself for the mistakes I made, and make amends with those I’ve hurt so badly. I would strongly recommend seeking help in support groups or one on one if you’re suffering as I was.
I do but I can't remember what exactly happened. I was put for adoption, and my adoptive parents know what happened. I know my parents will tell me if I ask. All I got out of them was that I was lucky to be alive when I was found. It sounds stupid, but a part of me remembers but won't let me in on it. There is only one of me '1Gold', but on the inside I am not so sure.
bad experiences, yes... challenges, but not quite the trauma I would say
although, one of my uncles once said, let's go for a walk... and a little lamb came with us too, and we walked down the road where there was a tree at the distance... i was 8 years old perhaps
I won't get graphic but you can imagine... why I did not eat lamb in way over a decade... lol
Me and my sister were molested don't remember much as we have blanked it out or somehow forgot. When I was 16 I may have been r**ped but again ai don't remember it
I wouldn't say trauma cause I feel that word is over used and exaggerated now these days. I had one instance but its really long story. Basically it involved a road trip and my brother not letting me move after putting me under the car seat after realizing I was limited with space and virtually no air. I yelled and due to the car noise being too loud from the air conditioner nobody hear me except my brother and was being a douche and wouldn't let me up.
quite a bit. is it bad? only if i let it define me. unfortunately, life isn't fair or easy. the majority can do something about it. of those, they who allow themselves to be trampled or won't rise above it will continue to live in it until someone else comes to rescue them. sadly, this may never happen. bottom line: it happens to a LOT of us. what we have opted to do or not do about it has made us what we are.
When I was a kid my dad always painted the doors in the house. He used to put them over the railings to the basement. One time when I was little he put me on the door. I was afraid of heights from that point on until I defeated that fear
my dad cut my moms hand off and my dogs back paw and locked me in a basement for 3 days without food till someone heard my mom screaming and called the cops
I'd say my trauma was being bullied a lot when I was younger because my mom would put beads in my hair and kids in my class would pull them out and after that experience I never wore beads in my hair again and I still don't
My dad beats me up when i was only 3 which is why i still get uncomfortable around him and i always feel guilty whenever he gives me something also because of the way he manipulated me one time with someone big he gave.
When I was around five I was surrounded by snarling, barking dogs. Today I am mildly uncomfortable when I see a dog, perhaps except the tiny ones or if they look really friendly.
Probably from growing up in extreme poverty as a kid but so did others and i live WAY WAY better then i lived before so i got nothing to complain about.
I don’t think so. One day I want to be able to listen to peoples problems and help them the best I can. So, that means, I have to be open to hearing all sorts of things. 😊
