How much trouble am I going to be in?

My husband gave me car and I signed the title and the owner too. The owner texted me and said that he never signed a title and I did fraud. And he's taking me to jail. Im confused I thought he signed the papers. Now I asked my husband and he said that he signed it. But since I signed it he's reporting me to the police. I didn't do anything wrong.

I’m confused but I think you need to ask a lawyer about this one. I know this much though: if they’re a good lawyer they’re gonna ask a lot of really detailed questions about what happened.

  Then the car is legally yours. Unless your husband forged his signature and/or made a phony title, you're in the right and just ignore the seller. Go to the DMV and get the tags for it, and insure it.

  The guy called me and pretended like he was the police. Than he said they will transfer the case to Texas... than changed it up to South Carolina... but I live in NC
