Growing up were you raised to let you mattress air out after waking up or did make your bed shortly after getting up?

Didn't matter, because I was a major slob growing up and didn't start making my bed on a consistent basis until the last ten years or so.

Never heard of airing out the mattress. In my home, God help you if that bed wasn’t made immediately after breakfast.

I usually wake up, go to the bathroom. Get cleaned, then make the bed. So it has some time to air out.

Making the bed was required before I could have breakfast. It was a regular bed and mattress, not an air mattress.
