Is Vshred a scam?

Hi,
My roommate was on Instagram and she just had the add for Vshred selling her easy weight loss. And of course it was TODAY ONLY the offer which made me suspicious. Losing weight isn't a child game and the dude is saying that even Hollywood stars do it... It seems very fishy.
I mean there wouldn't be any celebrities with curves, and if it was THE miracle recipe then there wouldn't be any people overweight.
So I told her to just do a minimum of research before grabbing her card. Of course she didn't listened and is now on the "loop".
I Googled and the reviews are mixed and say that it's a scam but almost worth it? I don't understand and don't know what to do.
The guy throws numbers and research every two sentences...
I feel it's weird you know.
Have you ever been faced with this and is it a scam? Is it legit and should I just be happy for her? I have no clue

Vshred is pure BS, don't fall for the scam. He gets his workout from Jeff Cavaliere at Athlean-X. I follow Jeff and I can say it works. There is also a version for women, Athlean-XX.
Remember though, weight loss is about consistant nutrition and rest. There are no shortcuts.

I know that! I have told her, it's emotional weight gain with a lot of traumatic event that happened to her. Like she's been my best friend since we are 5 and damn I don't know what she's done to get all of this...
So she needs to be better in her head and just deal with her trauma, then it will go away.
Baby steps.
The question is how do I get her away from this cult and get her a refund?

I don't know about refunds or what not. What I do know is that she needs to identify the bad in her diet. Cut out what can be easily cut out, like sodas and candy/chocolate. Then find out what high-quality foods she likes and can eat consistently and add more of that. The best way I see people lose weight is by eating more protein. It is filling and is less likely to be stored as fat. Also a consistant sleep schedule is just as crucial, sleeping enough is mandatory.

She is seeing psychiatrists, nutritionist and dietician. It's in her head plus she is barely eating.
It's written in her file that it's emotional weight gain.
So all I want to know is to help her and be there for her like I always have been and she would do the same
