When ordering stuff online, are you afraid it will get stolen when it arrives at your front door?

I have had that happen to me before, and ever since then, I have my stuff sent to a friend's house because her husband is home everyday. My neighbor across from me had 2 cases of cat food, and some new drinking glasses delivered to her apartment. When she didn't answer the door right away, they were left at her front door, and yes, all of it was stolen! Almost everything is ordered online anymore, so this must be a huge problem. I know you can pick up what you purchased curb side but what if you can't drive? What is the solution!

I don't know the solution for her, but I have everything I order delivered to my office M-F. There is always something there and I never have this problem.

I'm not worried about it. I leave CLEAR instructions to delivery drivers where to put the package. If they follow my instructions exactly, the package would not be accessible to criminals. I also have cameras so that when the driver lies and says they complied with my instructions, I send the video to the company. Twice drivers have failed to follow my instructions. Both times I was courteous with customer service and both times I got both a full refund AND the product resent. The area I tell them to put the delivery is easy access with the code I give them but nearly impossible to access without the code.

Never anything stolen from outside of the door.

Just the delivery people loose it in transit! Or send it hundreds of miles out of the way and the fruit is spoiled until it gets there.

I understand that’s a possibility, but i don’t much worry about it. We have cameras, and some of the mail order companies will replace orders that show up damaged or not at all.

I have cameras all around my house so no. And I have a camera on the roof of my building to see which direction and license plate.

Yes, especially when half the time the delivery guy ding dong ditches your package. And the other half they don't even do that.

I live in a pretty safe neighborhood. There has been some crime from time to time some of it involving porch pirates but I have been lucky so far.

I try to make sure I'm going to be around when it's delivered. But nothing i order has much value, and I'd report it back to sender that I didn't receive
