Who do you think is above tigers in the predators list?

Other tigers. And possibly some other creatures that are now extinct- not a lot of them went up against humans and survived. We're downright VICIOUS; look at what happened when megalania crossed our path. On the one side, you've got a pack of hairless apes with the musculature of a monkey. On the other side, you've got a two-ton Komodo dragon.
Also, in nature, you generally don't fight to kill unless you're trying to get food (or avoid becoming it). There are sections of the food chain that have more than three links, and many animals that will attack larger predators, in an effort to drive them off before they can BE attacked- it may well be that tigers have (or had) such competitors that were smart enough to attack from behind.
It could also just be a random mutation that did no harm; evolution's funny that way. Look at the happy-face spider. No, seriously, look at it; if I just described it, you wouldn't believe me.
In most places where tigers are, aside from humans, they are at the top of the food chain. The ear trait likely evolved before larger predators died out, or the assumption that its to prevent predation is incorrect (which tbh, is more likely, because most predators do not avoid attacking prey when they can see the prey's eyes).
Interestingly enough, tigers often do (to the point where humans where masks on the back of their heads to prevent tiger attacks from behind) so it may simply be a way to avoid other tigers attacking them to eliminate competition.
Other than armed humans, no.
Tigers are apex predators, which means no other animal hunts it. However, bears, elephants, and big buffalos can become a concern, as they are sturdy and large enough to inflict some damage.
Killer Whales! They take on prey larger than them, they're smart, they hunt in packs!
Dammit you said it first!
@Sirenboobzilla Feel free to say it again to back this up! Killer whales are sick!
@Pinay_ako That reminds me of this scene!

I think a rhinoceros could stomp the tar out of a tiger.
Bears maybe. But also tigers would know not to mess with certain creatures like: hippos, elephants, rhino. And side note... predators also tend to avoid the strong & healthy members of prey that are larger than themselves because it's not worth the risk/trouble so they're going after the sick, slow, young & dumb usually.
Oh!!!
Helpful information!
The super obvious: Predators.

other tigers... bears, and pack predators like wolves
I think we should remember that before we messed up their habitats, tigers were more spread over the continents as well as others animals who they would have been more in contact with
so it would have been quite wise to send that message "I'm watching you punk"
I don't know of any animal that would volunteer to attack a tiger; ticks or lice could theoretically feed on a tiger and get away with it?
I would imagine that a few animals are bold enough to go for a tiger baby - they will regret it.
Equally dangerous... certain sharks, perhaps.
Well it certainly isn't a bird.
I thought leopards had a higher kill ratio than tigers in India.
my knowledge is only from reading “death in the long grass” by peter capstick Hathaway. And that’s about his life from over 50 years ago.
The T-Rex 🦖 😂
I had forgotten about dinos!😂
Check YouTube for videos of "ligers", they are even bigger. I remember one being 900 pounds. :-o
@DryGermanGuy and the T-Rex will have them for dinner 🍽
The correct answer: Women.

Tigers are on top of the list in my opinion. Probably the grizzly bear can be considered a more ferocious predator but not by much.
Carnivorous elephants :)
That’s not a Real thing
@TonightYouu It was meant to be a joke :)
Well I’m sorry that you had to experience this awkward moment with me 😐
@TonightYouu Lol I'm not. I simply find it MORE amusing.
The whole question was meant to be a joke. But people here gave pretty serious answers with appropriate logic.
Nah it's mostly bullshit.
Those are probably just marking to deter birds from giving them away, or something equally mundane.
