One thing about on line dating, don't always go with the pictures they post. I have been pleasantly surprised by a few women who looked a lot better in person compared to their photos on line. You always can tell the one that edit their photos so you kind of know what to expect... but no matter how well they edit them you know if they are not attractive or not because even the best photo filers can't hid it. I always avoid the one with the excessive make because heavy makeup with a the right filters can fool you. And if they were that pretty why do they need all the make up?

But you get pretty good at looking at photos and knowing the ones that if they have a good personality are probably better looking then their photos.

I know my current girlfriend had some really good photos, unedited. But I could also could tell that she choose those photos because they were of her on her best days. That on an average day she probably does not look that good. But she is still a better than average looking women, but her personality makes her a 10.

I have never agreed to met some one and she ended up looking completely different or not at all like her photos.

Yes, and SHE WAS SCARY!!! I'd been talking to her online for a week or so and everything was sweetie this and honey that and we finally set up a date to meet and I suddenly realized, I have NO idea what she even looks like!! So, she sent me her picture. Remember that scene in animal house when they''re looking at the potential pledges via the slide projector and Flounder appears on the screen? That's what it was like!

I didn't so much mind that she was a bit chubby, so far, I've never had a skinny girl, but she had a man's short haircut, looked kinda like a bruiser/truck driver and the most hideous part was the scary grin on her face!! It kinda said, "I'm demented, I'm happy to see you and I can't wait to EAT YOU!!".

No, the only people I’ve met in person whom I met online went to my school. We had a huge chat & blog system for students, so sometimes id meet a guy online, talk for hours, and meet up the next day. I was never surprised the either. Told me what they looked like, or sent pics. But no I’ve never been surprised.

Zolly, I go on dates almost every Friday and Saturday nights, most Sunday afternoons, and often meet guys for lunch. My social dating calendar is extremely full, and I’m having a wonderful time just dating without the complications of a committed relationship… what I said was that I do not date people I meet online. Babe, I usually get asked out by about three or so guys every day… IN PERSON! I have no issue dating guys I meet, I think are cute and who walk up and ask me out!

Yeah @Zolly99999 I’m with @DizzyDesii on this one. Despite what the venerable internet says, I definitely don’t think that. 80/20 thing is even remotely close to the truth. I’d say WELL over HALF the guys on this campus are cute enough that as long as their personality was great, I’d definitely date them! Seriously, WELL OVER HALF! Even if I seriously thought about the absolute hottest guys on campus…. That’s MAYBE about 10% of the guys on campus. Which is about the societal norm. Where about 10% will be the hottest, 10% will be the ugliest, and everyone else will fall somewhere in between!

For me it's been pleasant surprises so far maybe I'm just lucky with that sort of thing. Like times where I've been drawn in by their personality and how much we're on the same wavelength and then they'll send a pic of what they look like and I'm like damn okay you kinda cute 😂
