Trending & News Hurricanes actually spin off tornadoes. They produce storm surge as well which wrecks coast lines. They produce flooding where topography changes. They often produce fires as well due to lightning strikes and power line damage. I've lived with hurricanes my entire life. Buildings in Florida are made specifically to withstand them so they don't typically bother me to much until they get up in the range of category 4 or 5. I have seen tornadoes spin off category 3 hurricanes and run lines of devastation through small areas though. Hurricanes are way more devastating if construction isn't up to par. That said, people typically take that into consideration when building homes in hurricane prone regions. I don't know why people in tornado prone regions don't do the same. It would be very simple for them to just build earth bermed/underground homes and never lose their homes out in tornado alley, yet they continue to build stick built homes and wonder why their houses disappear in tornadoes... Build for your local conditions.
Fair enough
A tornado usually results in injury and death, as well as physical damage. A hurricane causes more physical damage but usually less injury and death than a tornado.
Since human life is more important that things, I consider a tornado to be worse.
One more point. A hurricane is usually forecast days in advance so that people have time to prepare, while the warning for a tornado is either non-existent or only a few minutes, giving people no time to prepare.
A hurricane. You can’t hide from them, not even underground as high waters will likely drown you.

Based on wind speed... Tornado is worse. Tornado with the strongest winds: Oklahoma City (May 3, 1999). Never surpassed it, despite "climate change" lies FASTEST was 318 mph.
Since then tornadoes were LESS severe. A severe one in 2013 in el rino was slower! "almost 300 mph" means LESS.
The severity lessened.
Hurricanes are far slower winds. A recent one was 185 mph still LESS SEVERE than the 1979 one 190 mph, both less severe than tornadoes and...
lessening intensity than the past...
in contrast to climate change lies. See my recent question about hurricane, so tornado 150% faster winds is worse. I expect:
During a tornado news would say tonado even worse than hurricane.
During a hurricane news would say even worse than tornado. Relying on sheeple to trust them for sensation, not remembering nor checking.
Tornadoes are much more potent and deadlier, largely because they’re entirely unpredictable. Hurricanes cause a wider variety of damage with the rains and flooding, but the winds aren’t as severe. Plus they’re fairly slow building and a bit more predictable.
A tornado. Hurricane's you have days advanced warning to evacuate. Tornadoes are unpredictable. Meteorologists can tell you when the conditions are ripe for tonadic activity. But they can't tell you where or when a tornado will touch down nor the duration or intensity of it.
Good opinion
I live in tornado alley so I'm probably a little biased. If I've ever experienced a hurricane I might feel differently. Lol
They both sound like bad experiences no lie
Hurricane 🌀 . 🌊 as it can also spawn off Tornadoes 🌪
Fair point
Seems legitv
A tornado can leve a path of destruction that looks like a bomb went off.
Fair point
Hurricanes. They last longer and are more destructive. Tornadoes, on the other hand, can be really neat to see from a distance.
Really hard to say. Tornado is usually stronger but a hurricane makes up for is by pushing water and heavy flooding rains
Whichever one you're in the middle of.
Fair enough lol
A tornado lol
