What are some Important things you Do on Moving Day?

As OlderAndWIser mentioned, anything you will need the first day or two, keep close and easily accessible. Remember the important rule "last in, first out", or take it with you. And if you are separate from the items- as in a moving company will be driving your things over- a couple of days' worth of shelf stable foods probably wouldn't hurt to have on hand, either. A couple of "Lunchables" and some shelf-stable milk, or just toss it all in a cooler with milk/soda/juice, some trail mix or granola bars, apples, oranges, etc. ,  just in case.  I would  not  bring prunes, though! Good luck on your family expansion!

You always have those stupid neighbors you put up with and avoid arguing with because they know where you live, well since you’re moving remember the guy with the loud truck and the lady who lets her dog take a dump on your lawn because you can rip into them big time and be out of state by the end of the day

What are they gonna do? Walk 3 states away to say “you were very mean” nahhh and if they do I’ll just yell at them again with the cops on speed Dial.

Pask all of the things that you will need the first day, including sheets, pillows, bath towels, clothing, toiletries, and carry that with you in your personal vehicle.

Make sure that everything is packed up and labeled, except for my phone, laptop, charger cables, and shaving (utility) kit. Those go in my car with me.
