Have you ever freaked yourself out?

Question

As in, in a new unfamiliar place by yourself, hearing noises, scary movies scenes flashing through your mind freak yourself out? (Why don't like to watch scary movies lol) Hearing noises while I was in the shower had the Psycho shower scene flashing through my mind😱

Better now, but was getting freaked out for a minute there. Don't help it's early so dark out, now it's raining/storming. Also didn't help a friend was just commenting on how creepy the back (where I park my vehicle) is.. But gotta put my big girl panties on and leave for work in an hour

Yes my roommate bought a full length mirror at the start of last year, and she just rested it against the wall next to the door. When I out home, there were no cars in the driveway so I knew I would be alone. But when I closed the door and turned to enter the main house, I saw a face looking right at me! I jumped, screaming I ran out, and called the police, who entered my house with guns drawn, and saw the mirror RIGHT where I saw the face. The police obviously walked through the house but when they asked me to show them where I saw the face I walked in and pointed right a the mirror saying he was right there! The cop was hilarious

Cop: You saw a face?
Me: yeah
Cop: right there! (Pointing at mirror)
Me: yeah
Cop: by the wall, right there? (Fiercely pointing at mirror)
Me: Yes! I told you he was RIGHT THERE! (Also pointing at mirror)
Cop: So you saw him there, by the MIRROR…
Me: yes (slapping my hands by my side in confused frustration)
Cop: Some might even say IN the mirror? (As he points only his finger, wiggling it up and down)
Me: YEA… Ohhhhhhh! 😲🤦‍♀️ (Facepalm)
Cop: That’s real isn’t it? I mean THAT is NOT a dye job)
Me: me smiling my face turning red with embarrassment

I went from terrified, to scared, to frustrated, to embarrassed, to laughing hysterically to OMG he totally asked me out in about 8 minutes! But the young one gave me his card and got all “high school boy voice”, “hey, er listen, er if er you ever just, ya know, just wanna talk sometime er you know, there’s my cell. Um call me any time, really!” It just read John, (377) xxx-xxxx Call Me Anytime. He capitalized every word. But he was so cute 🥰

I was on vacation in Ireland many years ago. We were staying at a B&B in a rural area one night. After everyone was asleep, I quietly left the house to smoke a joint. It was a beautiful night, but there wasn't much light. I walked to the end of the driveway and a short distance down the street.
At some point, I heard a sound and saw two glowing eyes in front of me, but I couldn't see what it was in the dark. Just eyes.
It gave me an adrenaline rush of fear. A guard dog? Kujo? The Hound of the Baskervilles?
I roared threateningly and backed away, then ran part way back to the house before realizing that nothing was chasing or trying to attack me.
I came to the realization that it had been someone's pet. Duh. I don't know why that hadn't dawned on me immediately. Then I felt like an idiot for getting so freaked out and being mean to that pup.

According to state wildlife we had no mountain lions in our state. The rare sightings are said to be fake or the rare roaming young male. We saw a spike in sightings a couple years ago with the rise in trail cams, security cams, dash cams, etc. We had multiple cattle deaths by cougar a few miles from me. State wildlife confirmed we did indeed have a breeding population in my county. Anyway I live in the country and was opening my door to let my dog out one night and I hear something large take off running. I can hear the gravel and then the underbrush rustling. Freaked me out. Every now and again at night I get myself freaked out thinking maybe I'm being stalked by a mountain lion.

Ps. I saw a mountain lion as a kid in the woods but none of the adults believed me except for my uncle who had seen large cat tracks by the creek

Yup once in school i saw this photo of a ghost girl some article about haunted house and girl dying and becoming a ghost.

I was like whats in it they ahd mentioned on that photo that don't share for too long and i did stare at the photo nothing happened.

Then the day passed and she started coming in my dream usually i can shake of dreams but not her the thought of how she died i was not able to come out if it.

i remember partially about some coin associated with the dream it had some significance lol i am not able connect the dots now.

But i couldn't shake of that girl for three days from my dream i screamed silent screams voice not out of my vocals

Tbh, when i was a kid i was terrified by chucky's child play movie...

Everynight i slep in my bed, kept looking at my bedroom door and imagined chucky standing on my bedroom door looking at me with a big butched knife in his hand and can barely see him because of a dim light...

I regret a lot watching this movie in the early 90's because it kept me awake for many nights and always on my nerves!

Don't worry spongy forehead, you can take a nice shower without being worried cause i'll be there with you and i'm the owner of this little motel, while you're taking a shower, i'll be waiting outside chilling and listening to this music

When I was a little boy I explored the woods a lot in Southwest Virginia. Miles and miles of nothing but woodland. One day, I came upon a burnt-down house. Must have been a settler from the 19th century.

I looked around and found old pots and pans, a creepy china doll, some tools. Next to the house was a grave plot. I thought that the buried must have wedding rings or some valuables on them.

So I dug and dug into that grave but was too young to know that, without a shovel, there was no use finding anything. I gave up the digging, but that night, I became haunted by the lady whose grave I tried to rob.
