Have you ever had a panic attack?

I've just returned from ER with my mother because apparently she suffered a heavy one. She started complaining last night that she was having a heart attack and could not breathe, so we ran to ER and they did found she was going through that plus a strong arrhythmia, which led to a night of observation.

Now she has to under go exams because it could just have been a panic attack, or this supposed heart problem caused her said panic attack.

I get panic attacks. I have a severe panic disorder, a cute anxiety, anxiety brought on by major depression, and social anxiety. I don't know if this will help, but I can tell you the symptoms I experience.

It'll start out with tingling in my fingers and toes, which will spread throughout my whole body. Then my whole body goes numb, and I start to hyperventilate. Then I feel like I'm paralyzed.

Some new studies proof that Anxiety can cause heart problems, so hopefully they do the tests she needs. Good luck to you.

Sorry that happened to her, panic attacks cam often be confused with heart attacks.

I have had them since I was 5 years old. A lot less now that I am older and have been on medications + therapy but they do still happen from time to time.

Thank you. I'm worried because of the heart arrhythmia, it could have been caused by the panic attack or vice versa.

I'm sorry you have to go through that. I had only one panic attack in my life and I can't fathom how it must feel to have them from time to time.

It's almost worse than having them frequently... 😅 At least when I was a young teen I knew I was going to have at least one a day. Now It's like waiting for it to happen and never knowing what is going to trigger it anymore 😂😂

Yes, I have. When a girl I knew was in the hospital. I was afraid that she had died.
