What is a phobia you have and what are the reasons for your fear?

I have a huge phobia of centipedes and millipedes. I'm so scared of them because they creep me out so much. Seeing them sends a shiver up my spine. Just looking at one could give me a panic attack. I'm pretty sure I have hoplophobia (fear of guns) too. This is mostly because I'm afraid of the noise and I am also afraid of getting hurt or killed if one was pointed at me or someone tries to shoot me. I also have mild elevatophobia (fear of elevators). This isn't because of claustrophobia but because I sometimes fear getting stuck in an elevator, especially if I'm by myself. It's difficult or almost impossible to escape from a stuck elevator unless you call for help or use emergency services.

Spiders (Spiders in itself are okay, it's just when they bolt that they freak me out, they either bolt or jump only to disappear somewhere and I'll need prince charming to come and rescure me)

Height (Just looking down, straight down, I get dizzy like I'm about to fall down. I can't look down. I can easy climb a wall or something, but going back down will take twice as long.)

Claustrophobia (those extreme caves but that would be it, just looks like hell to be stuck no fresh air, you stuck their, panic, breathing quickens, ...)

I’ve never been diagnosed with a phobia, but i have a fear of heights that can be nearly crippling. I’m not entirely sure of the source. I don’t think phobias necessarily have a source. The most prominent characteristic of a phobia is its irrationality. That said, falling from a height that could badly injure me or kill me is the only thing that i can’t wrap my head around as far as being able to solve, reason or fight my way out of. It’s also very immediate, as in i have to be seeing the potential threat. I’m fine to fly, even looking out of the windows of an airplane in flight. I’ve even skydived, and it wasn’t scary until the ground and all of its hazards were looming.

Years ago, i was bitten by a small Copperhead. I got antivenin.
Later on by a 11 foot Reticulated Python. It hurt and I bled a lot. I still have the scars. Despite that, I never feared snakes.
When I was 9, I came across a 6' (or longer) Black rat snake. He was coiled up like a rattler, snapping his tail. He went for me and I caught him behind the head like a martial arts guy. Then I let him go.

Knives. I can use them, I like to cook, but I'm really careful with them now. And when someone else isn't careful I can barely be in the fucking room. Started when I was a kid goofing off accidentally stabbed someone with a knife (they were fine). The fear died down for a while but after my wife got pregnant it's gotten pretty bad again. I use guards for all the knives that don't go in the block, and seeing them used in movies and stuff puts me off too, even when it's not horror. It's just SO much easier to stab someone than people think it is.

Liberals, they destroy everything they touch, the violent crime rate in Texas per 100k in majority conservative areas is 80 whereas in majority liberal areas, it's over 800. No surprise given how incredibly backwards they are.

There was a home Invader in Georgia who murdered two elderly homeowners before stabbing a responding officer in the neck, nearly killing him and they were all cheering for the home Invader and praying for the officer to die.

It's gotten so bad that liberals aren't even people to me, just subhuman hellspawns that need to go back where they came from to where they belong, in hell for all eternity

Fear of height, because I'm scared that the ground under me will collapse or something.

Fear of airplanes, or I guess fear of crashing or being stuck inside of one makes more sense.

Fear of chimpanzees, I both fear and hate them. When I was in middle school, our teacher showed us a couple getting mauled by a chimpanzee they raised. The pictures of before and after surgery to fix their deformed faces definitely left a mark on me.

Spiders, large groups of ants and maggots. I’ve always had a phobia of spiders but the ant and maggot phobias developed from living with slobs who left food out to rot when I was flatting. Huge nests of ants would swarm the kitchen and maggots would swarm the carpets almost daily. After a while it caused me panic attacks and made me develop phobias towards both.

Heights but it's an irrational fear. I have no clue why as nothing has happened to trigger it. If I am at a height for a reason, i. e. fixing a roof slate, height doesn't bother me. Yet looking out at leisure from a balcony, tower or castle ramparts and it freaks me out. Irrational. I'm know I'm safer on the balcony/tower/castle than on the roof. Weird!

I have acrophobia, but not in all situations. I'm fine on a ladder, for example, or walking on a roof. My biggest fear is being near the edge of a high place, in particular where a railing only comes up to my waist.

I really don't know where this fear came from. I've never fallen from a high place, in fact my friends and I used to jump off the shed roof (about 12 feet up) when we were kids.

Liftophobia, fear of elevators. There’s no way to lift it off of me.

Milliapodophobia, fear of centipedes. Like Ron Weasley described spiders, they big hairy [animals] with too many legs.

Chucknorrisophobia, fear of Chuck Norris. We have nothing to fear but fear itself, and Chuck Norris.

Claustrophobia, fear of closed spaces with Santa Claus.

Acrophobia, fear of heights, as long as I don’t look down.

I also hate those sounds of footsteps and even pawsteps, as they really tick me off.

I’m scared of the ocean or any giant bodies of water (thalassophobia - I think). I’m okay with chilling at the beach but I won’t go anywhere near the water. I can’t even watch underwater videos and when I swim at my pool I always keep my head out of the water. I almost drowned as a kid and was traumatized from watching Jaws lol

The spider actually scared me for a second. I’m scared of them. Maybe it’s because, they barley have faces. Uhh, their mouths look like Tushis if they were actual axe wounds. Hmm, their legs are literally just very hairy humans fingers with hooks instead of nails. Aaaaand…. Their eyes look lifeless. Like an evil spirit or something.

I have a normal fear of most of those.. But claustrophobia.. Whenever I see people stuck in vents, or crawling through tight places I don't know, how they do it.. Maybe I have a normal fear of that too, but if I ever get stuck somewhere I would rather die..

I am terrified of centipedes and millipedes. Just the sight of them makes me scream. Ugh they're so creepy. There was one recently in my sister's room and they had to get it out. I couldn't even go near it.

Snakes have always creeped me out - usually bc I don't see them until almost on top of them and am startled.
Not terribly fond of heights, either. Probably comes from riding my tricycle off the porch several years ago.
