Why does my cat bite me every time I cry or have a panic attack?

Question

So my cat is 3 years old and fixed. He use to not do this but after my Dad passed away I had bad breakdowns to where I'm on the ground screaming and crying like a baby. My cat use to get scared he would hide bit after time passed and up to now if I start crying really bad like I did before or have a panic attack, he will meow really loud and bite me (not too hard but not too soft). Why does he do this?

He's probably trying to distract you. Maybe he's trying to get you to pay attention to him - something maybe he thinks will help you feel better.

My cat will softly bite me if he wants my attention. Often for pets or food.

He probably knows you're upset and is trying his hardest to figure out how to help.

Because your behavior is abnormal & is causing him unnecessary fear, panic & stress.

Cats don't "comfort" by biting like some of the morons have said. A cat in comforting you would rub up against you & purr.

He's biting you to make you stop behavior that is unacceptable in his eyes.

Senses that you'r not fully in to the issue, so i guess it feels annoyed too, so it bites you to get you to "come back 2 reality"... or maybe is ur father and he tries to comfort/slap you to cut the bs... 🤣 🤷‍♂️

Because your cat in particular finds that behavior scary or threatening, and wants you to stop. Not all cats do mind you, but just like humans, each cat has its own idea of what is or isn't a problem.
