The name I actually go by is technically a nickname because my actual name is Amanda. When I was little I was called Scooty because before I could walk I would scoot around on my butt and I get really good at it. I've had boyfriends in the past call me nicknames.

I have many.
my full name is Rebecca so my nicknames for this: Becca, Bex, Beckie/Becky, Bexxiib (usually for some of my accounts), QueenB (another one for some of my accounts).

From family, my dad calls me cheeky monkey, crackers, darling. My nan calls me Darling, baby doll, pudding and dumpling. My mum would usually call my full name, but she will occasionally call me darling if I’m sad or hurt. Some friends call me darling and sweetheart, hun is also used for me a lot.

Not many people at work use nicknames but one person always calls me love, my love, darling.

Andres was the first. I’d hang out with the Hispanic kids in my neighborhood and try to speak Spanish. I hated them talking and not know what they were saying. Someone said “if he wants to be like us so badly, give him a name like us.” So Andres it was.

then I got tagged with GB. I guess I gave guys the “heebee jeebees” because of the way I’d sneak up on people. I was just going to talk to them but they wouldn’t hear me approach and when I’d say their name in my quiet voice they’d jump out of their skin. One of my kids friends called me “Batman” for the same reason. That was on purpose though because I wanted to mess with my kids guy friends.

I've had many nicknames throughout my life. They either haven't stuck or I'd grown to hate them. The only one that I've liked has been "Packy". At my old job, there was a tech there who was born in Ireland (he had a really thick southern accent though, because his ESL teacher was from Alabama... totally irrelevant, moving on...). Anyway, "Packy" is an Irish nickname for guys named Patrick.

I don't even remember what year it was, but I was in high school. I wasn't a freshman I know that much. Anyhoo, it was the first day of gym class. I SUCK at basketball. But on that particular day, for whatever reason, I made like 20 shots and some kid said, "My money's on him." He started calling me "Money" and eventually the whole class and teacher picked up on it, and it stuck throughout the entire semester
