**Can it SUPERSEDE a Relationship as Well? xx
It never happened to me, Paris.
Okay, in my teens and twenties, I was pretty obsessed with smoking weed and, looking back, that did limit my options for socializing. I was still acting like a high schooler.
And when I was 37, I had a 30 year old girlfriend who was hypersexual and orgasmic. We lived together for over a year. I can say that I was as addicted to her as a lifetime alcoholic is to booze. When we separated, it was like going cold turkey. It took me a year to pull myself together and move ahead with life.
Well learning a few skills help during break ups it did for me with a few exs
👍😊

It's possible but it's never happened to me.
A passion for something shouldn't turn into an obsession, mainly because with an obsession that is all you think about. You don't live for anything but thew obession and it eats your time--which is not ideal. You should be able to have a passion for something and continue to enjoy other life endeavors. Obessions have a negative connotation--passions do not. Taking care of elderly people and animals who can't care for themselves is one, cooking is a passion of mine, and art is another. These don't take precedence over other things that I enjoy.
Not everyone wants a balance life. To be #1 sometimes it takes everything. And if you really want it, you're fine with that. by the way being obsessed is by far the best feeling I've ever felt as a human being. Love is the only thing in the same ball part. For some people it is bad because they want balance but it's all about the life you want to live. It's so amazing. It's like being in love but there isn't another person to mess it up. Most people don't even know what it feels like so I don't know why they think they can judge it. They dont even know.
@242plusInfinity To be considered #1 is egotistical, isn’t it? That’s not a passion. A passion should be something you enjoy. I consider for example, being very good at music, to come out of a passion for music. You love it, it envelops you and takes up all your time, but you do it because you love it and not to compete with others.
In turn, an obsession, such as an obsession with someone, eats at you and possibly makes the other person afraid of you. You have no time for anything else or have feelings for anything else at that time because all your thoughts are about that person. Balance is key in life! Too much of anything is bad for your health, emotionally or physically.
I don’t get what you mean about how obsessions can feel good. It can’t be good to be on the receiving end of someone being obsessed with you. I know I wouldn’t want it.
I hope it does. I want the toxic tortured artist life where I throw all that I am into something until it ruins me. I want the same drive ballerinas have that allows them to wreck their feet so they can pursue their art. I want the same drive that high end career people married to their job have that ruins their families. Nothing would give me more joy than that.
Do you need a list?
Let's see most of these started out as a passion and in different times of my life have become a obsession. Some still are to this day
CB Radios

Old Cars & Trucks

Yes! I am obsessed with my wife, sneakers, knives, cooking, extremely hot chilis and computers. I never stop talking about all above, specially the wife.
My Greatest passion in life is spending time while nude in a non sexual way allowing my body to breathe with no clothing on is the greatest feeling in the world. 💞
I' love my nude time. 💞
I used to be passionate about running. I had too many injuries and now i have a fake hip so I cannot do it anymore. Every time I see somebody running I get pissed.
Yes it can. With some people their passion becomes an addiction. Usually though it is just a serious hobby.
well yes... it does happen to a lot of people, lol
Almost anything can turn into anything.
There is always the Matter-Energy converter, Scotty. Beam me up!
Imagine having passion for something lmao..
Yeah I can talk about my passion all day to anyone who doesn’t even want to listen. My poor friends… I’m talking about buildings lol 😂
Seems like the abortion issue has done just that! For many people.
Absolutely. People with obsessive personalities can put it to work if they use it wisely. Every industry needs dedicated experts.
Anything can become an obsession if the person can't control their will power.
I've always been obsessed with pussy but it never became a problem
Maybe but that isn't necessarily a bad thing
I love superbiking. And quite a few times I have found more pleasure ridin my 1000cc than being with my girl. It's a harmless passion but yeah it can lead to obsessiveness...
Only if you allow it
@Pinay_ako So True!!! xx
No. But when it does that shit ends relationships and marriages.
It's possible and very dangerous to have it spill over. But that choice is still yours.
yes, but I don't care, lol.
Sure very easily
Sure, if it becomes unhealthy.
@Paris13 It hasn't happened to me yet.
sure, why not?
