For sure. It’s just part of who I am. When I go out of town, people are very intrigued by it, women seem charmed by it, some guys think it sounds intimidating. Being asked to say “Park the car in Harvard Yard” gets real old, REAL fast though😂 I also had the benefit of my prime years coinciding with the run of Boston crime movies, so that gave it extra appeal, I think. Shout out to Damon, Affleck, and Wahlberg for that lmao. And this guy is an unknown legend, old school 80s cat, and I was born in the neighborhood he’s from, big up The North End. His hatin’ ass family needs to lose the self-loathing though😂

I think there are people out there who are irritated by Boston accents though. And I’ll say that I’m glad I’m not a woman, it doesn’t carry the same charm when a lady has the accent. This gal is an actress but does a remarkable job depicting an adult-version composite of every girl I dated from ages 13-21 lmfao…

Many of them really WERE from Quincy, too, for real😂😂😂 Saw this in a theater not in the Boston area, I was the only one in the theater who laughed at that line, but if you knew Quincy, that joke would land SO hard, lmfao

Yes-It's not mine but i've fooled so many people thinking I'm from Europe or whateva' aand people notice. I've also been asked to stop using said accent... it's funny. Because I can't. :D

I just accept it. I switch between 3 different accents depending on my audience.

My normal accent sounds generic American accent which is why some people think I’m from California even though I’m from New York.

My New York authentic accent only comes out when I’m hanging out with locals outside of work or close friends of mine. My Caribbean accent only comes out in times of passion, shock or upset but most of the time I resort back to normal accent immediately after

I used to have an annoying lowkey "valley girl" accent. It's gone now and only slips out if I get suuuper excited or if I'm around old friends. I like the way I talk now.
