What will your ring say or show now?

My ring 💍:

had the marines emblem on it, with the words next to it “(my name) Marine Brat” - because for the longest time I was convinced I’d join the military, believing they were the most loyal people on earth, and at that age of my life I was fierce when it came to loyalty. I hungered for it like an obese person for a McDonald’s quarter pounder lol or a wild dog who hadn’t eaten in months.

I also had a cross to show my faith of the time, along with the graduating year.

The stone was obviously my birth month 😊 no questions there

And…

Inside I had inscribed, the words: No Hope Just Faith

It was important to me because I had barely made it through school, in grades, in motivation, and I felt like I was always barely passing things, barely making it to school on time, barely getting by…

And I didn’t want to just stressfully/anxiously hope- leave my fate to luck. I was going to make it. Succeed. I was going to KNOW. I was the master of my own fate/destiny. Before it was in part, for the level of faith I wanted to have in God for the future. Today faith still holds true, but its just more of a faith in my own capabilities and how I will go about solving problems.

I love it so much, and if I had the chance to make a new ring… honestly I wouldn’t change it one bit. I’m still a warrior 🤺 of many causes and frames of mind. That year is still dear to my heart. ♥️ I’ll still embrace loyalty, and every day I believe in that inscription- even if the jewelry artists did kinda scratch it up… 😂

My class ring had a blue stone because the school colors were blue and gold. We were the Blue Devils so there was a picture of a devil on one side and the town seal on the other side. The town that I grew up in was a suburb that had some dairy farms and other rural type things. In 30 years all the farms closed and hundreds of houses were built on every square inch of that land. The town is basically a suburban slum. There are drive by shootings and lots of street crime. I don't go there very often but when I do I hardly recognize the place. The updated ring should have a molotov cocktail on one side and a Glock on the other.

yes, I live in a rural town similar to where i grew up. There are still a couple of farms and lots of people have pigs and chickens.

Mine was white gold. It had an emerald stone with a flute in it. It also had my name, school, and a marching band design. My favorite color is green and I played the flute in the marching band... not very exciting lol
