What happens to your personality when youre online versus IRL?

For myself, I see my online personality as more reflective of my ideal ego (more authentic self) because I have the freedom to think before I post and ensure that what goes out represents me at a core level. In real life without anonymity, such as at work and if forced to socialize superficially, I feel trapped into holding my tongue or candy coating opinions to save face and avoid people’s impatience to hear me out leading to me getting me unfairly branded a “problem.”
