Answering questions is my preferred option.
This has become my hobby. It is a chance to think through a reasoned argument and then to express that argument as articulately as possible. This is a real challenge and it helps me hone my own thinking on any number of issues.
Of course, every now and then you just write a short one sentence answer. However, I avoid that as much as possible. Again, there are few places where you get the chance to make a reasoned argument and if you are lucky it provokes a discussion. Which further helps you hone - or from time to time, refine - your own views.
As a guy who works in politics and writes for a living, this site is a fantastic forum.

+1 yAnswering.. because i love pouring my thoughts on different kind of question that gag user asked, and i also love to help them as far as i can by sending advice, warn them and give option to them what best thing they coule do through their issues..
But not just answering, sometimes if i feel like i found good valuable question, i also ask on here.. not quiet too often, maybe like one question a month, or its also depends my mood.. if i get another question again, sometimes i keep it and ask it later, sometimes just straight forward to ask here and see other user opinion on it..10 Reply
+1 yI prefer to answer rather than asking. I have asked questions that has made people uncomfortable, so I decided to stop asking questions and just start answering them. I don't like making others uncomfortable.

+1 yAsking. Most questions have been asked umpteen times before or are so dumb you know the asked won't understand the answer anyway.
Thinking up unique or good questions is more challenging and fun.20 Reply I don't have a preference, it might seem like I do considering I haven't asked a question but have answered many but that's not because of preference and more so because I see how people are on this site and it's just better to keep my questions to myself.

+1 yAnswering. I want to ask but one I don't know how to close a question so no more people can reply and two I have noticed that people appreciate it when you reply to the opinions and I tend to forget sometimes.
00 ReplyOne or the other seems a little uneven. I'll say I'd rather not ask the first question... Doing all the asking feels nosey and all the answering feels a little overbearing.

+1 yI have a strong preference for answering questions. THat's pretty much most of what I do on here. I've posted a handful of questions, and a billion answers. 🙂
00 Reply Answering, it's so much disappointment when I don't get answers of what I want but a bunch of nonsense so while answers do let me meet more Karens it's so much fun to engage in debates respectfully
00 ReplyAnswering for the most part. I do enjoy asking what I think are good questions if I have one. I don't want to ask what's been asked before, so that becomes tricky.

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yAnswering because most of the time people don’t try to help or give honest advice anymore- lately mostly assholes have answered my questions with judgement and rude opinions.
