Middle age and older. I don't know if there is a gender difference, except the color. It might be slightly more of a man's car.
Car manufacturers actually target different age groups and other demographics. For younger people they are called "entry level cars", which are generally smaller cheaper cars.
Four-door sedans are not usually targeted at the younger crowd.
If you are considering buying it, don't worry about who normally drives that type of car. Get the car you want, and most importantly get something reliable.
I used to buy and sell cars. Everyone says they want a good quality car. But in practice the looks are top priority. People will choose a car they think looks good over a much better quality car 9/10 times.

It's just a boring Mercedes E class from mid 2000's. I wouldn't assume an age group, but rather someone who's really not into cars that much from this.
It's amazing that Mercedes really reformed it's design language to shake off this horrendous middle age capitalist luxury image.
In my area, there are two groups of people who drive cars like a Mercedes or in that class. It's either middle aged or older people who have the capital to afford such a car and it's maintenance and it seems to be split between men and women. OR, it's younger people, usually male international students, who drive such cars because their rich parents are paying for everything from overseas.
Many of my amigas have been Mercedes-Benz E-Class owners since their 30s.
Like me, they're now in their 50s as well and they still buy E-Classes.
However, unlike them, I'm not into E-Classes.

Middle-aged females will probably take up the majority of that pie chart.
In smaller proportions, also younger people, and male, but particularly middle-aged and older males.
I drove a sport version of this, sort of, and I was middle-age, so this is not my car, but it is nice.
That’s an E class so 75+ Mostly women, now if it was an AMG it would be men around their 30s, but seeing it’s not it’s for older people. Great luxury car, usually kept in great condition for the obvious statements above…
The younger crowd usually go for C class/AMGs and Occasionally older S class models. The majority of new S class models are older men and women though. Since it costs 6 figures to buy new lol.I would say middle-aged men, but I have seen women driving these cars too. My neighbor drives one and he's 40-ish.
If I was looking at Mercedes, I would go with a G-class, in a stick if I could find one.
An age of 40's to 50's equalizes things. Many of both are successful in their careers and can afford $80g
S-class mercedes

Younger drivers will generally be very wealthy given base spec models are £70,000My best friend is 33, and is a few months younger than me. He drives that sort of thing. He can afford it. He works at Honda after all
40-50 year old guy. Most women wouldn't drive a grey car. Maybe white, red, blue or silver.
