Is 18 really the best age?

I think it depends on the person, the year, what they're doing... 18 was not spectacular for me. But, at a certain point, there were some nice things about it. Some have a great time, so 18 is wonderful. Some get kicked out of the house, have to struggle, lose parents, etc.

21 wasn't a big deal, because I'm not a big drinker - it was a bit low key for me. It was a LOT of hard work - I was still in college, so most of that year was studying and not sleeping. There were some great things, and some tough parts.

This year has been tough. There are some decent things about it. That being said, I don't know if I'd ever want to redo it. And 2023 has started out rough... but may get a lot better soon...

I think I tend to be a late bloomer in some respects, so perhaps the second part of my life, will be the best time of my life. I know so far I haven't been particularly thrilled with most years. And if 18 was MY best year, I'll die a pretty miserable old dude.

My best was 23 and each year from 21 felt better and better. Then I hit 25 and I was like this doesn’t get better at the point. It is all just great! You have your highs and you have your lows.

No there are way better ages. 21 as you get to drink and buy smokes and stuff. 15 because you get your drivers license. I can’t say much else as I’m not 24 yet but it only takes time. 18 basically makes you an adult and you can move out and go to college and basically support yourself. 18 has its advantages but it’s not the best age.

I am 25 and I would say every age/year has good and bad so far but, 18 for me personally was probably the worst bc I had freedom to make decisions but v. poor judgment and that led to some unpleasant painful stuff. No permanent harm I guess but not fun! Best for me overall has been prob. 21 to the present!

Nope and it's also nothing special, like oke sure here you are legally allowed to drink but nearly nobody has their first drink with 18 lol

Pre-18 was the best.

18+ is when reality starts showing up at the door to kick your ass for no apparent reason.

Instead of homework and maintaining a social life, you get work, bills and have to watch that social life you spent the last 18 years putting together fall apart.

no. i didn't know shit at that age. very immature and inexperienced. most kids that age are way too confident when they don't have anything to back up their confidence. straight out of high school, in the stages of needing to figure out what to do for the rest of their lives (which is incredibly unrealistic).

No cause people older then you still see you as a kid even though you get all the adult responsibilities. For me age 23 or 24 was the start of the best age.

It all depends on you and your circumstances, it's different for everyone. I think 14 was probably the best age for me. It's probably the last time I had no worries and everything was going great for me.

It's kind of a weird phase where you feel like an adult and a kid at the same time and it's confusing as hell. Cause people treat you like a kid but expect you to act like an adult.
