Just a coupe of pistols and a couple of assault rifles. Nothing crazy like dozens of guns.

Move them out to the garage. Hide a small gun safe box in the bedroom somewhere she won't look and can't get into.

I had an ex who was completely antigun and this is what I did. When four violent junkies followed behind her through the back door, punching her looking for stuff to rob, 45 seconds later I was downstairs with my old ruger security six revolver. Shot 3 of them. Luckily none of them died because at least one of them was shot in the back running away. I was lucky as well because they were armed and the guy shot in the back tried to press charges but the police didn't want to know, they matched their finger prints to some pretty violent crimes. She changed her mind on the no gun policy. Kind of pissed because I never got that revolver back. It was a good shooting gun, well made and belonged to my father. That was years ago back in 2005 after I got back from Iraq. I'm a big glock guy now, I keep two in a gun safe box ready to go. Glock 17& 19. Bought 2 Ruger LCR revolvers recently, for my wife and one for her car. I keep a couple of shotguns, and two AR15s, one of which is a hand me down from my uncle which he left me in his will, he bought it 1972, good weapon, shoots OK but so light weight. I keep other stuff too most military surplus rifles m1917 Enfield, mossin nagant, Lee Enfield. Had a real good Remington 700 that got stole out of my truck a few years ago so now I just hunt with a scoped Lee Enfield or another bolt action just iron sites.

Keep the guns at a trusted friend's house, or in a shed outside the house, or in storage. You don't need them in the house presumably, unless you're doing maintenence cleaning or preparing to take them somewere.

Explain that it is needed for safety reasons for self defense. In Texas if someone breaks in your house or even crosses your property you can shoot them and you can claim it was self defense and they won't press charges against you.

Yea im not dating someone who keeps guns, especially out in the open like a collection. If they have one put away and i dont know about it then i really can't feel uncomfortable with it

I had a little bit of an argument because I thought we should have a firearm in the house for protection. When I was recovering after hip replacement surgery the house next door was broken into in broad daylight. The cops came the next day and asked me if I saw anything. After that she finally agreed that we need to be able to protect ourselves. I went to training and I keep them secured in a gun safe. I visit the range at least once a month.
