Why do some people think it’s dumb they made a movie with a black female being Ariel when the first Ariel was white?

I think it has more to do on how blacks use the racist card when racial discrimination has nothing to do with it, I think this was one of those where blacks consider it racist that Ariel was always white when the character itself is suppose to be white, the fact that they now have a black Ariel shows that they played the race card and that's what pisses people off because it keeps happening, with all due respect to every race that might get offended, Ariel is white and she was never suppose to be black, it's like white people making the princess from the princess and the frog white, I'm sure people would have a problem with it.
