that ar-18 is built upon the turkish ar-12 charles daly, the rock island vr-60 and the vr-80, several different ar-15's the difference between them is the barrel length and the bore hole size of the barrel. that ar-18 in your picture has that thing at the front of the barrel which most ar's don't have nowadays or at least none of the ar-12 and ar-15's i've seen that's not to say they don't exist on them but it's rare to find them. the ar-12 is good for short range defensive shooting home invasion type stuff the ar-15 is good for long range shooting. the larger the number the longer the range in shooting but not as much damage will be inflicted on the target. those ar-18's in your picture use small tactile bullets which are in my opinion a waste maybe good if you're in a militia and fighting close range with enemy terrorists but other then that i wouldn't use it. depending on what scenario you're up against or encounter it's best to go with the ar that meets your needs for that specific situation and the ar-18 has limited real world usage other then close militia encounters

the ammo is 5.56 which again is complete shit since a level III and a level III+ can stop it so can a level IV plate armor
