+1 yProbably depends on where they live. I love summer because we have cold winters, and spring is rarely as warm as I hope it will be. Summer can get hot, but it’s usually pretty reasonable, between 75-85 F. We’ll have days in the 90s, maybe it will hit 100 once in a blue moon, but it’s usually just regular-hot. If I lived closer to the equator, in the tropics, so I guess somewhere like Miami here in America, I’d probably dread summer. Too hot and humid to be comfortable. Still blows my mind that people live in our deserts too, I can’t believe that’s a thing, lmao. Out there with fake-grass lawns and cactuses and whatnot. I guess it’s not as humid there, but it can get into the 100s with ease out there from what I understand.

If I can go swimming, especially with friends and family, not so much, then it's way more fun. If swimming isn't an option and it's just bugs and heat, summer sucks lol.
Thankfully the water around here has just enough water to go swimming in, even if it is still somewhat swampy.10 Reply
I hate Summer because I hate hot weather, get sweaty, which ruins my hair, so I have to constantly fix it, um let's see... I hate insects, and I hate having to wear shorts and T-shirts cause' I prefer sweaters, jeans and long sleeve shirts, hoodies, etc.. and when it isn't scorching hot, I have to worry about the weather turning to shit and potentially destroying the trees around my house, so yeah..
I prefer Fall and Winter over Summer, while Spring is alright30 Reply
1.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Dislike us putting it mildly. I hate summer!!! I can't even go outside for the whole summer because it's 100-113° outside!
Then having to sleep next to an air conditioner next to my bed BLAIRING cold air on me until my mouth get's so dry I can't breathe!
No thanks to summer 🤬30 Reply

English summer is pretty cool. No, I literally mean cool.
Plus it's the season when one discovers that England actually has pretty fit birds.
I go out walkin' in t'hills, or driving on country roads with Vaughan-Williams in the background. Heavenly.

It wasn't cool last summer when it topped 40c

@DarkLegacy A bunch of little bitches. It got to 37, so they allege, for 2 days, and the world stops turning.
In my house we have the front part of the house which is freezing cold in the summer, and the back, sun facing, which is really warm. Stay in the cool side and it's a pleasant 20oC.
I was working during the hottest days, in a hot sweaty hall, and it was still entirely bearable. And I went out at lunch for a walk and it wasn't bad.
I mean, not something you should be out in for protracted periods in the height of the heat, but that's basic common sense.
The rest of the summer, as I recall, was dry and mild. To be fair the local reservoirs did seem to lose a lot of water. They said the world will stop turning, climate change, drought. Now they're fully topped up and even overflowing. Seasonal fluctuations, don't panic!
Flies, mosquitos, spider webs and in sub tropical Queensland Australia, day after day or week after week of 38C+ (100F+) of sweat inducing heat. Summer in Australia is torture.

+1 yNot sure, I enjoy my summers. Swimming off the dock in the evening hours after a long day working, listening to birds and insects calling and buzzing along the shoreline. Sitting beside the outdoor fireplace to dry off and waiting for my dinner to warm up.
00 Reply It's a love hate relationship of mine. I totally love bikini season, beach season (when I can get to the beach) but the heat is just overwhelming. We usually get 60 days of 105 - 109 temps and I hate to sweat, yuck!

10 Reply 1.9K opinions shared on Other topic. I only hate the summer if the climate is scorching me alive and i can't cool down in water or beaches. And the home not being air conditioned.
Other than that its totally fine and i'll enjoy me some apple teenie or pina colada or sex on the beach or mojitos or whatever nice.

+1 yIts hot, it's sticky, there's bugs in my face 24/7, i have to mow the lawn twice a week, my air conditioner is busted, even if it wasn't it uses a ton of energy and my bill goes through the roof, and there's no Halloween in summer.

+1 yUsually it's due to the heat in the summer. I actually have friends with a son who has a medical condition that makes him literally allergic to the heat and summer heat can be life threatening to him
20 ReplyFor white people, intense heat of Middle East and Asia is not suitable. They can develop burns.
I live in a place with 0 Celsius in the winter and 48-48 in summers. And I can say it can be ready difficult:/.
But I prefer it over winter as I feel it comfortable in heat than in the cold of Winter. Frost bites are my enemy. Never going to go outside in winter without proper clothes and sleep in heating for me :/
00 ReplyI don't feel like seeing women with revealing clothes is worth suffering how hot it gets here.

+1 yI'm not really aware of anyone who feels that way. One might be uncomfortably hot sometimes but that doesn't mean we want to transition directly from spring into autumn. Every season has its own charm.
10 Reply 1.2K opinions shared on Other topic. I’d rather have summer heat than the darkness of winter gloom. I’m a tropical island girl.
20 ReplyHot weather. Smelling of sweat on a regular basis. Dangerous insects around. Not emough pockets without a jumper or jacket on. Difficult to breath in some overcrowded places without ventilation and there's BO for eg on trains. One has to be extra careful as the heat can be unforgiving for eg heat strokes.
