If your day went really bad or something bad really in your life that affected you, it's normal to be sad. However letting yourself drown in misery for a long time is not okay. Which means you find solution for your problems, you fix them/try to do things to improve. If there are things you cannot do anything about, distract yourself. Don't think about it too much. Move on and focus on other good things you have or you can achieve. Life is a rollercoaster ride and it takes away some things that makes us sad but it also has so much to give.
