Why won't my husband let me join the military?

i told him its been my dream since I was 18 and I was in rotc in high school and I always enjoyed learning about the army. I told him I wanted to join but he just gets mad at me. he also says he's never heard of people joining for financial reasons and I told him he was wrong even though he was in the army for 7 years. I'm not joining for financial reasons but more about fighting for my country. I even asked him why he joined the army but he doesn't say anything. plus we have 2 kids together. I don't know what his problem is and if he's trying to stop me from my dreams then I will go anyway since I'm an adult. no rude comments or name calling is allowed. please give me some advice

Well as some one that was in the army for 32 years I just had a friend wife die in Afghanistan and they had 2 little girls did you ever stop to think that may be y he dose not what you go in the army just because of that. Yes you are an adult and can do that you need to stop and think of your kids first and how they are going to take it win mommy go,s off to boot camp just to live out her dream of being the army, and you do know that it is real had on a marred people with kids just because of the fact that you get move around some in the army and your husband know this first hand so you need to think about this real hard be for you jump in to this pond because if you do you may not like hoe it turns out of your marred,s

Probably because he doesn't want to see you put in danger.

Off the top of my head, I know at least 12 guys who were in the military, and all have some really messed up stories. One guy did 3 tours in Iraq, and the first week into the second tour, his convoy got blown up twice. Another guy joined the military as a cook, and spent months doing armed patrols at night instead in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The fact that you have 2 kids together I think is reason enough. But I'm sure that the visceral feeling he has about it is that he's afraid to lose you and doesn't want to be apart from you.
