Would you let people know if you had special abilities?

NO.
I learned this the hard way in 1984 and again, especially in 1985.
Remember this: "You can never unlearn something. And once someone you know knows that you know that something, they will use that face... and use you as a resource whether you like it or not."
This is especially problematic if that someone you know is your boss at work.
For example, in the summer of 1984, I was working at a 7-Up facility working on a baler machine to crush recycled cans and plastic and cardboard. (This was before those recycling machines existed in supermarkets.)
So, while I never operated the machine, I did learn so by the end of the summer, I could make a bale. For Labor Day weekend, just before I went back to school, we had a mountain of recyclables to deal with. My coworkers took off, but management wanted me to take the overtime as did some gentlemen who helped but could also drive the forklifts to move the bales so we could greatly reduce the mountain. (We did. I went back to college the next day.)
However, in the summer of 1985, I was in a different 7-Up facility working overnight. The night shift (5 PM to 5 AM) is when we loaded trucks with soda to deliver to stores. Since I knew how to operate the baler, I did the night shift. However, I could not drive a forklift so I had to hassle the very busy loaders - the guys loading trucks. I could tell they were a bit annoyed. Well, we had a spare forklift, so I started to operate it. I dealt with the bales myself.
I showed initiative and got a new skill I taught myself and increased productivity.
Great, right?
Nope.
Because the loaders were often falling behind, they could always use another loader.
They look at me.
They make ME a loader... I hated it for a lot of reasons including it took me away from my baling machine/job which I loved. So, who did the baling? The older guy - they just gave him overtime. He wasn't a loader, but I could be.
I was miserable. One reason was that my foreman was a complete asshole and my shop steward was his BFF so union help was out of the question. I eventually quit; I was working the baler and made a "garbage bale" which had to be done. This one had bad timing and my foreman relentless busted my ass about it and made fun of me while I was there. I wanted to kill him. Instead, I quit. I made so much money from overtime, I didn't need to work the last month before school.
But, I learned a valuable lesson: Keep your mouth shut. This goes to a bigger thing that males instinctively know as they age:
Information = Power.
Information about your friends can help you use them.
Information about your enemies can help you defeat them.
Information about you known by your enemies helps them defeat you.
>>> THIS IS WHY MALES ARE NOT VERY TALKATIVE WITH WOMEN. THIS IS WHY WE WANT LOYALTY AND TRUST. When our woman fucks around, she may give information about us to our enemy - the guy she is fucking who is not me and is now my enemy.
So, you only let others know of your special capabilities if you can live with the consequences of them knowing.
A good example for the September 1983 shooting down of Korean Air Flight 007.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Air_Lines_Flight_007
The Soviet Union had shot down the plane but they denied it. But, in the United Nations or something like that, the US provided evidence of exactly what happened and that the Soviet explanation was complete bullshit. Good for the world that the truth was revealed, but, in doing so, the US revealed advanced surveillance capabilities it had which no one knew about - least of all, the Soviet Union.
Well, they did after that!
Well I already show off my double jointed, multi nevered and extra stretchy spine abilitys however that doesn't have the potential to change the world just make people scared and have a good laugh though if u mean special abilities like teleportation then I might show it off depending on how world changing it is though if I can use it to assassinate people then I'd keep it a secret as I have people id rather not see on this earth anymore
I have no idea I have special abilities…a few have told me I do.
I don’t generally go telling those who don’t know. But if the conversation comes up…they find it fascinating that I bring out that side of me. Soon they told me they respect me…another told me they want to be just like me when they grow up.
I just don’t see it…maybe it’s just such skill I use … it’s part of me.
I am so talkative I would definitely find it hard not to share.
That’s a very stupid trait of mine, I always speak my thoughts and sometimes thoughts can be stupid, you shouldn’t say everything.

How did you know?
I think everybody already knows I can splooge in a vagina pretty hardcore. No need to hide that fact. The girls have to leave with a towel to not dribble my splodge across the floor on their way to the bathroom. I'm talking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ooz... it will make you a mutant.
depends on what the special abilities would be. if I could teleport, I’d go to @Genie23 for a movie night which means she’d have to know that I do have these special abilities…👀🤣
OMG! Yessssssss!! Movie marathon night!!! Also, binge watching so much until we fall into food coma and too heavy to grab the remote from the table 😂 When I'll realise your special abilities, I'll make you teleport us to many place where we could pull pranks pn people and disappear. Damn, I'm a bad influence on you, lol
hahahaha heck yes!!! food coma with a movie sounds like a great night!😈😍 and then killing the food coma with pranks? I’m SOLD!!!
Probably a couple people that I could trust to keep the secret. Unless it was something like, being psychic or turning invisible or being able to float, stuff I could use in a magic act. Get on "Fool Us" and win every time.
Of course not. How would that help me? Better to just use them in secret.
Nope, I would use it to my advantage and do it in private. Maybe i would wear a cape and fight crime.
No, that's only going to backfire. I'll help them, you know? But I won't tell them exactly that I have.
Nope. I'd like to surprise them when they get burned alive.
Depends on the abilities, if I were powerful enough to not have to worry about being captured and experimented on then sure, otherwise no.
I have special abilities and I'm happy no one knows😋
No because they would ask me to do stuff for them.
Depends on what my abilities were and who I was talking to.
Only my best friend and boyfriend would know.
Just my mother and brother 🌚
Sure, if the topic comes up.
of course not
