I've never been to a movie alone, but I'm not against it. I rarely go to movies though.

I've been to restaurants alone hundreds of times, maybe even thousands. I like doing it. It's "me time". I usually bring a book to read while I eat. It's relaxing. The only negative about reading at restaurants is that servers often don't give you as much attention as other customers. They think they're interrupting you when you're reading.

Yea, I took myself for a fancy dinner solo after my move.

Originally was gonna be with my then-gf but she made excuses so I didn't bother trying to get her out (plus I didn't need her complaining constantly - we broke up a few weeks later).

It was wonderful. I enjoyed myself and got wine and scotch along with my meal - and still came in under budget, lol!

I suppose a movie wouldn't be a big deal. It's not like you're talking through the movie, so does it necessarily matter if someone's sitting next to you? I've never done it, but I don't imagine it would be a big deal. Restaurant by myself sounds super boring. If I'm ever eating on my own and I feel like going somewhere, I just pick it up and bring it home.
