BUT! ☝️
I have been that person to sympathize with the criminal before, as I had for aggressive animals who have been mistreated before, and in consequence- become threats to other animals, themselves, but mostly other people.
They don’t get the death penalty- not always. Not if the humans care. They get therapy. For some reason no one takes the time to offer therapy to those who need it. The humans who need it.
Somewhere down the line the gears ⚙️ clicked the wrong way and move in the wrong direction. Criminals only need a *change of mindset,* which will influence a change of heart.
True people, with true “disorders” are merely retarded- those are the ones who are harmless. ⚠️
If they’re not retarded.. the solution will always be a change of mindset… and therapy.
But if people say, “hail the death penalty!” As they say “hail Caesar!”
Then watch me watch with disgust. Tbh. The criminal, the victim, and the prosecutor all need therapy. Lol
Those who choose wrong should be given intervention before they’re given time, or given a bullet. Or a series of bullets.
It’s a crazy world.
I'm not afraid of showing my feelings (more often than not) and I think it would depend on what the crime was first of all. Secondly, often times, I DO try to put myself in both party's shoes to see if I could understand their feelings, because like they say, there's "his side, her side, and the truth". I don't know if there really is a third thing, but yeah, I hope you get what I mean. I really try to see both sides of the coin/story because really, condemning someone to hell, or something, without hearing the other's side is biased and unfair in my opinion. I don't know, I guess I've just "been" on both sides so I kinda know how it feels to be judged cruely and unfairly? I also feel there are just some laws that favor one party over another so there's that. And lastly, remember how Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor? Well what if those rich got rich through dirty means? 😉 I know two wrongs don't usually make a right, but.. Anyway, I hope that was a good answer lol.
.. Oh and I know in those shows, sometimes, people exaggerate because they sometimes have a hidden agenda with it! Anyway, that's my take on that. I don't just blindly hop on the band wagon or mob just because it's popular to do so.
It rrally depends on the story, and the people involved.
I can think of one relative example, off the top of my head. If you've never heard of "Killdozer" it's worth a lookup. That guy committed a crime, but lots and lots of people feel he was completely justified, and would empathize with him.

I mean all I tend to watch is stuff like that... true crime basically. I like learning about that stuff. Does it mean something is wrong with me... maybe... but not that I'm a potential serial killer. It's fine sometimes to feel bad for killers. Some have awful and I mean awful lives. So it sometimes wouldn't shock me to hear people say they sympathize with the killer. And this is gonna make some people mad... but I've seen some people on stuff who killed for a reason... like on killer kids a boy killed his religious parents because the dad was raping his sister. Brother saw and had no other way to get help cause no one believed him. But everyone on the show made him out to be some evil horrible person. When I just saw a boy protecting his little sister
@KingOfMe1 I think people can relate to both in certain circumstances. Like some people can relate to a cheater who got found out. While others can understand the anger of a spouse finding their husband or wife in bed with someone else and snapping, and killing them. I mean it is sorta a human emotion. Everyone would probably be angry and while we don't think you should kill them a part of people understand the anger that caused it. That's what I mean. Sometimes killers can be sympathetic just depends
My mother usually sympathizes with criminal. I would be concerned with the person and also with my own safety.
Yes, this would make me wonder
I'd say the person either is an empath or they have those tendencies themselves
Yes I'd be very concerned about the person
