Would you agree that people would be committing murder and other violent crime more often if they knew they wouldn't be punished for it?

I think Richard Ramirez is spot on here. People don't retain from killing because of their morals, they refrain from killing because they don't wanna get life in prison or the electric chair. If you study history and even current events, you will see that humans are NOT peaceful civilized creatures.

I read a story about a Brazilian serial killer who only got 10 years. Of course Brazil's murder rate is so high if people have nothing to lose.

I agree with you and Richard
I don't agree with you and Richard

If humans weren't prone to violence, we wouldn't need laws.
