What’s the one thing you wish you could have done differently?

I wish I wasn’t as shy in my previous years. I’m definitely and introvert and I feel most comfortable being one. Yet I wish I was a tad bit braver. My shyness , fear of rejection and over thinking probably made me loose certain opportunities. I plan to be a little more brave now. I’ll start small, probably strike up a conversation with a familiar face at the gy or something like this.


I also regret not standing up for my self. I used to be a people pleaser and because of this I never stood up for myself. Recently I ended 3 toxic friendships and I feel soooo much better! Unfortunately I had to end the friendship because they refused to understand how their actions and words kept hurting me. I plan to be more true to myself from now on as well. Say no. Say I feel disrespected. Walk away.

I wish I had gone to Yale to study psychology. I did undergrad at U of T and switched majors for religious reasons, I did not agree with the views of my psychology professor so I did religious studies instead.

I wish I was a bit more confident in my mid-twenties. Because I was starting out in my career, I was open to constructive criticism. But that led to being trampled on because when people were in bad moods they would scapegoat on me. It took me awhile to realize what was going on and then I put an end to it at that point. But I wish I would have caught on earlier.

Probably another thing would be to work more on building relationships in my twenties. I spent a lot of time working on my career, and then partying in my off time. I think I would have spent more time nursing the relationships that I did have.

I wish I was diagnosed as a kid instead of at 29. But when it comes to my decisions I don't really have regrets I think I did the best I could at the time and I think I've done great.

I would have worn an eye patch as a kid like I was told to after I was diagnosed and had amblyopia corrected. It stopped me from enlisting.
