I'm officially tired of hearing the words ''I love you'', is my reaction normal?

This week 3 different online users I've never met in person tried to lovebomb and scam me. Two tried doing the romance scam (one saying ''I love you'' and another eventually asking for a gift card) and another was a woman doing the inheritance scam where she had stage IV throat cancer and wanted to ''donate €85,000 out of kindness'' to me, a random stranger.

Stage IV cancer and on a hospital bed and yet the lady writes a well spoken, elaborated paragraph. Gotcha... yeah right.

I was originally going to do the scam baiting thing but I got fed up (I was too upset to even play their game) and quickly proceeded to calling them out on their BS and blocking them.

At this moment I'm not in a good state of mind to hear the words ''I love you'' if it's not coming from my parents or maternal grandma. One more ''I love you'' and I feel as if I'm going to explode. A combination of two failed relationships (a scammer and then an asexual liar) and several scammers and lovebombers killed it for me.

I'm getting too old for this ''I love you'' and childish, adolescence infautation BS, where either a relationship ends after the infatuation stage fades or those words are said by an idiot.
