Who else is tired of hearing the constant “I love you” from their partner?

It’s obvious that actions speak louder than words. Every fucking day I hear the same “I love you” and I’m forced to say it back. Yes I love my partner but it gets exhausting repeating the same damn words! If he really loves me then why doesn’t he make time to hang out instead of sounding like a broken record on the phone?

I know it can sound like a broken record but you have to look at it in a different way , saying I love you is 3 easy words to say that holds a lot of meaning behind it , when you are in love with someone it shouldn’t be hard to say those words when it becomes hard to say then usually it means something is off in that relationship that can add fire into your relationship’ cuz everyone assumes the worst case scenario , you have to remember we aren’t mind readers , think if your partner never said those words to you and then he got into a car accident and died leaving you wondering if he really loved you or not? You will be kicking yourself in the ass for never knowing if they truly loved you or not , So saying I love you to someone you truly love shouldn’t be hard to say , I am not going to say I love you to a girl I truly don’t Love and care about if I did I’d be one stupid motherfucker , those 3 easy words should not be hard to say if you truly loved someone , With the way life is today and how stressful things have become be grateful that you have a partner that says those words to you every day , it means you are always on his mind and that even when he isn’t with you you are in his heart , it’s people that have a hard time saying those words you should be worried about , they are usually the ones that are up to no good

It sounds like you have different primary love languages. He's exciting his love through his primary love languages, words of affirmation, while you want him to express it in yours, quality time. Hopefully a conversation about how each of you feels loved and express love can help both of you show and receive love in the way the other needs.

I am much much older than you, and still, my boyfriend says I love you all throughout the day and even when he's sleeping and wakes up a little bit, he says it. The thing is, I don't say it back. I just gently pat him on his arm or back, as if to say, yeah, I know.
But he also says really cool things just before we go to sleep. One night he was almost asleep all the way when I heard him quietly mumble "My heart is wrapped all around you". I just laid there in the dark and smiled.
Because I have lived so many more years than you, when I read that someone says they love you many more times than you'd like him to I thought to myself "If only she knew how bad she would love to hear him say it just even one more time after he us no longer in her life, she would probably be sorry that someone took the time out of their life to make sure you knew you were loved. If he died or left you, wouldn't you miss hearing those words?
I realize it can get on your nerves, I get it! So maybe you can just tell him that "it's ok that you tell me you love me everyday but, for me, I like saying it back to you when I feel like saying it back and not say it back like a robot. So, please know that I love you even if I don't say it back everytime ❤️

i feels you babe! I’m having the same thing too. My boyfriend does saying I love you too many times in a day (which annoyed me) and somehow i didn’t reply to those text (just to show that i don’t really like them)


But probably you should talk to him about this.
Anyways me and my boyfriend broke up 3 years ago, and yeah action speak louder than words. He did say I love you too many times and yet managed to cheated on me 🤩.

I was with a woman who was the literal opposite. I found out that she was upset that I didn't express affection and say nice little things like, "I love you." So I started giving her little squeezes, touching her on the shoulder as I walked past and, yeah, saying "I love you" fairly regularly and it made her happy. I was happy to do it. It was a small adjustment for me but made a big difference to her.

Going forward, I would have taken that as a lesson learned and implemented it in future relationships, but, seeing this, it seems that that was just her preference and it's not for everyone.

My advice would be to calmly and respectfully communicate your preferences. Nobody's a mind reader.

i totally understand, sometimes it can get repetitive, we've all felt that way. but sometimes people need that reassurance. or that little reminder. but how much is he saying i love you? every hour? now that's where it can be a little yikes...
