What do you think of Newly-Discovered Creatures named after Celebrities?

This is a picture of a Tachymenoides harrisonfordi, a new species of snake recently found in Peru, named after Harrison Ford.

There are many creatures named for celebrities, as described in this Wikipedia article:

What do you think? Is it really appropriate to name a species of animal or plant after a celebrity? Did the science community run out of descriptive scientific names?

It's just as appropriate as anything else.

Lots of things are named after people to honor them in some way.

• America is named after Amerigo Vespucci.
• The element Einsteinium is named after Albert Einstein.
• Asteroid 4749 Ledzeppelin is named after the great band Led Zeppelin

I could go on and on...

In 100 years will anyone know who these celebs were? It's not unusual to rename a species at a later date and I suspect this will happen.
