I am inclined to travel, but my parents suggest me to buy the property.
1K opinions shared on Other topic. The moment I read your question I could feel you
Being where you're from coming on here reading and having all the knowledge that you do and having the desire to experience everything that you would love to experience would make you want to travel it would make me want to travel
For me I love experiencing new things each and every day because I have to experience something to understand it to become it and it becomes a very beautiful thing
For all the reasons that you would love to travel I believe in 100% with all my heart and I don't blame you for wanting to travel
You never know what's going to happen if you were to travel but you need lots of money to travel
In the long run stability would be a piece of property with your own home with your own family it kind of sounds boring some ways but it is a very beautiful thing in other ways
I can't tell you what to do I can only tell myself what I would do I do like to travel but I also like the foundation of stability and having a place to always call home.
For me I would have to have the house the family but before the family I would have to travel to experience life in new ways and exciting ways new people and experience fantasies dreams and explore them all
You can either do that in real life or you can do it on the internet even LOL it's not quite the same but I think you know what I mean.00 Reply

+1 yFor me, personally, I’d travel.
I’m in no rush to get a mortgage.
In fact, I plan to save money until I can buy my property in cash.
Plus, once you buy a property, unless you’ve paid it off upfront, you’ll feel inclined to stay there so you aren’t making monthly payments while you’re away.
UNLESS, you are going to start a real estate business and be a landlady that rents out their property so your tenants pay your mortgage, and you collect any excess as profit.
But, the issue with that is that you’ll still need to be present to maintain the property and ensure there’s no contract/policy breaches—unless you have the funds to hire a reliable property manager to help you with that while you’re away.
So basically, by buying a property, there’s a whole lot of logistics you’ll need to handle if you want to travel at the same time.
Life isn’t just about accumulating stuff—it’s about memorable experiences.
For me, I’ll always value memories and experiences over property and possessions.
I say, do what feels right and what’ll leave you with the least regret when you’re older. 🙂
(Note: If you found a really good deal and you have some big long-term plans for this property—aka buying a vineyard to start a winery that you plan to run for decades, then yes, it makes sense to buy the property if it really fits into your long term vision and goals.)11 Reply- +1 y
Currently, I’m focused on career/travel—increasing my income while enjoying traveling experiences along the way.
Eventually, I’ll buy a property, but I’m in no rush as I’d rather gradually increase my income while I travel as compared to purchase a property via a mortgage, and not have enough money to travel freely until that mortgage is paid off.
I would be limited to perhaps one flight a year during a small window as compared to multiple flights a year, any time of the year I want to.
I’m going the business-building route though.
So if you’re going the high-paying-job route, I’d probably pair that up with index funds so your income grows (debt free) over time at a steady rate with minimal fees.
Then later you can use that income to purchase other assets for your investment portfolio, like property.
Just my two cents. 🙂
+1 yIt depends on your age. I've been travelling the world since 2015 at that time I didn't have any plans to buy a house. Nowadays I would totally buy a house. If you're still young I'd stay travel the world and try to make some money out of it too, then find a stable job and buy a property.

+1 yBefore COVID and airline costs going through the roof, I would have traveled. Now, I say go with the property.
I also saw a bunch of stuff about Boeing cutting corners and I am all paranoid now.

u +1 yBuy the property, forego the fun now, and be happy with your decision for the rest of your life. OR Take the trip, forget the property, and regret your decision for the rest of your life.
Growing up is not always fun, is it?10 Reply Can you do both?
Property is obviously the smarter one. Itretains and generates money. A good piece of property is essentially your retirement taken care of.
Travel is well, living. Life is for living, is it not? How do we put a price on that?
Ideally though, you make your trip pay for itself. Sell the idea of it, build up some hype for people to follow you on IG or similar, turn it into a travel guide for some company, set up a Patreon where people can sponsor ideas and see you go for and review it, you name it. Travel can earn you money.10 Reply- 2.3K opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 ytough call...
I like to have a home base and explore from there. there is no substitute for family, friends, and community. Everything seems your oyster in life at that age... until you need help, injured and such. then you better have resources and people that care.
I got the crap beat out of me by life a few times, have some roots. buy a house... not so sure about that right now, I'd think those prices are coming way down in some areas soon.

+1 yProperty hands-down! In this day and age, most people don’t have a place on this earth that they can call their own. I purchased a ranch in the mountains to grow food, animals, etc and be prepared for the coming collapse of the world financial systems. Why would I waste my time and money traveling? It’s a complete and total utter waste.

I think you would do well to follow the wise advice of your parents. It’s already hard enough if not impossible but the day will soon come when you will not be able to afford or purchase any property, anywhere. The whole basis of the 2030 agenda is to stop the ownership of private property. The cost of materials and interest alone is making ownership almost non-affordable.
3.1K opinions shared on Other topic. Travel is an expense. Property can be an investment. But you have to make yourself happy. Why can't you do both? Or invest in stocks and bonds instead of property. The world population is peaking. There's no guarantee that real estate will continue appreciating. It has crashed in the past and could again.
10 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Other topic. property, then travel.
Many years ago, I bought commercial rental property, it was tough at first, but it is completely paid for, has more than doubled in value, I have full occupancy, and it is now income producing so I can use that money to go on more trips.
I've had some residential rental property and did well on that and made more money when I sold them.
Like my dad always said, there is only so much dirt, they are not making any more so as the demand rises so does the value of the property.00 ReplyProperty because It’s something that lasts for a life time and is useful during hard times.
you can travel another time and traveling a lot isn’t that expensive.
now you go buy that fkn house🤬

Buy several properties, rent them out and eventually you won't have to work ever again. Then you can travel the world
- +1 y
Yep, I will buy the property but I am only young once
- +1 y
You're absolutely right, you are young once. Try to buy a duplex or a triplex and rent out the other 2 sections and let them pay your mortgage. With The money you'd be spending on the mortgage, go travel
- +1 y
We don’t have mortgage in Georgia
- +1 y
Oh. I didn't know that. You have to pay for the house in full or how does that work

+1 yWhy don't you buy property and rent it out then with the money coming in go travelling. When you get back evict the tenants.

Buying property is a better investment. However, the experiences from travels can be priceless. Conundrum.
I favored experiences when I was younger. I’m more concerned about investing and my future as I get older.
00 ReplyI would choose the property. I did make that choice to have a house to raise my family in. Then when I was older and financially able after the kids were grown, I have travelled a lot and plan to do more.
