I will tell you from experience as I have done both. Not super luxury but very well off.
( Oh yeah, I'm cool.) So much better to stay in one country even if not in such luxury. I did the whole travel around thing and it gets really exhausting and you don't appreciate some of the things that you're actually experiencing as. Also people like to romanticize some places that are really actually quite dangerous and especially being a foreigner you are like a Target you know I got my ass kicked twice in 10 days going through Brazil. I wasn't mouthing off they were trying to mug us. I lived in one country actually now for the past 18 years because of all the ones that I went through I knew that this was the one for me.
. personalities of the people and me just work well together. Good for anyone really though, put put your life in perspective. Also coming from America you don't realize how much the rest of the world that really is and they have a significance. Sadly, the American government drags the good American people's names through the mud on the world stage.

I travelled the world for a year on a shoestring budget.
I found travelling is 50% the people and 50% the place.
On a shoestring budget you find places and people you never would otherwise, and find adventures waiting for you.
I lived in grass huts and cheap hostels and losmen and got to know local people. In the same country I passed through luxury areas, big hotels, large golf courses, and wondered why those "travellers" ever left home.
Luxury travelling misses everything. You may as well stay home. To have a true travel experience you have to get down with the locals, live like them, visit the places they visit, eat the food they eat.
I'd rather stay on my ass and live well then travel the world on a budget. Maybe if I were in my early 20's I would have picked traveling, but now, ten years later, I would't travel without money. I think it would be dangerous, reckless and exhausting.
What if I need medical aid, what if something happens and I need to return home asap, what's the joy of going somewhere only to be upset that you can't experiment all the museums and attractions that city has to offer, where's the fun in being restrictive when you're supposed to enjoy your time? And these are only some issues than I can think of. That's why I'd rather experiment something closer to home and live in ”luxury” - it's safer and comfortable.
If those are the only two options and despite my expensive ass taste in life, I'd like to think that I could, in fact, travel the world on a budget. I'd be traveling for the experience, not the luxury. The latter could get boring after some time

Not that I am much for luxury but traveling with tight budget is like claiming you seen a city that you pass through on a train. What's the point if you can't do what you want. It's better to focus on one thing then do a lot badly.
I would travel the world on a budget, cause only than u can see how to make something out of the most difficult situation and will face many adventures
STAY in my country. Not trying to leave the country ever really
This is a very interesting poll, I expected the opposite: Guys would go for budget and girls for the luxury.
I voted budget.Well, seeing as how one thing I've been wanting to do for a while is go on a solo backpacking trip around the world, I would probably take the shoestring budget trip, but be able to go a ton of different places.
I think it's more fun that way.One year in luxury. Mostly to make connections for business and in society. Living in luxury those connections would have deep pockets and allow me a lifetime of opportunity.
Live in the same country in luxury
mainly as i'd struggle if the budget was really low, though i'd love to travel i would enjoy luxury for a year more i think.Well considering the fact that I already live paycheck to paycheck even during this pandemic. I would honestly love to live in one place for a year in luxury
Already traveled the world on a budget courtesy of the US Navy
My dream life would be to bang hot girls in a luxury penthouse suite almost everyday.
I'd rather see the beauty of other countries than live in luxury
I live in a small country, so definitely I'd like to travel the world
Can I just like, go to Rome for a week on a budget, and then return home and live my life that I have now.
Travel the world on a budget. I'd love to spend an entire year travelling!
Travel the world on a shoestring budget. I hate luxury. It's too outrageously excessive.
Live in the same country in luxury
I'd rather live in one country in luxury.
I guess it's just me I love to be in luxury for a while and see how it feels for a change... LOL😃
Travel the world on a budget
Luxury is much better
