I don't have any pets but there's at least two bunnies that come begging for bread every day. On one hand, they practically come right up to me, on the other, if I move even a fraction of an inch closer to them, they bolt a few feet away for a moment until they realize, I wasn't coming after them, then they come back to finish eating their bread. Half an hour ago, I was going through a plastic shopping back of old papers while baby bunny was eating and, as soon as I moved the bag (it was sliding down my leg to the porch and I just slid it back up to stand up against my leg, again), he ran off into the yard about 5 feet away until he figured it was safe to come back to eat. My guess is that they don't like the "crackling" sound the plastic makes. Earlier this week, I was feeding them and a knuckle in one of my fingers clicked all by itself just from me bending it and the big bunny heard that and dashed.
