+1 yI was a gymnast in HSā¦I started training myself around 11⦠I used to put one leg up the upper bunk bedā¦bend my nose (head) all the way to kiss my knee cap⦠I was very flexible till I broke my leg in my 30sā¦. Then I couldnāt practice for over 2 yrs⦠my flexibility became more stiffā¦
last time I did my wall hand standā¦my own kids got scared⦠lol they didnāt know moms do such things.

Asker+1 yWell that's cause normally moms don't lol
You are just a mom with a gymnast background thank still knows what's up, you managed to give your kids a scare š- +1 y
I love being an abnormal mom š
Not hard to scare anyoneā¦
I like to go full speed in speed bumps⦠they loved it. My mom not so much⦠she needs to have some fun.
I also ice skate and they were shockā¦,
Moms out there need to live a little.
Asker+1 yGoing full speed on speed bumps is crazy š
What did the cars suspension ever do to you lol
You sound like one fun mother tho no lie, you sounds adventurous af š- +1 y
Free roller coasters š¢ā¦ car? Get a used carā¦most decent cars are reliable and can run to 200-250 miles⦠so I just run it to the ground⦠then get another one for fun⦠too painful to play like that with new cars.
Suspensions? Lol⦠why⦠just have fun bumping around town.
Thanhs - I am fun. š¤©
Asker+1 yYea suspension, that part of the car that makes the car bouncy, the part you enjoy so much about the speed bumps š
You do know the car is on pressurized springs right? Lol
You are one cool mama midnight, you run on that "we will just wing it" mentality and it's seems so contagious š

Asker+1 yThere's more than one split? I thought there's was only one
Asker+1 yOw they both just look painful, you are flexible enough tho, that Chinese one looks crazy tho š

+1 yI was a gymnast. I never got splits though. It's easy for women, but it takes a heck of a lot of work for men. I got close on front-to-back splits, like within 1-2 inches on the floor. With side splits it was more like 6-8 inches. If I had gotten to higher levels of gymnastics, it's pretty much mandatory.

Asker+1 yThat splits stuff sounds like no joke lol

It's something you have to work on consistently over a long period of time. It's a slow process trying to make your body do something it's no supposed to do.
Same with shoulders. Try standing with your back against a wall. Put your heals, butt, back and head against the wall. Then raise your arms straight overhead. Try to put the full length of your arms against the wall, WITHOUT arching your back and pulling your butt or anything else away from the wall. With a good perfectly straight handstand, that is how your body is aligned.
If you try it, don't try too hard and fuck up your rotator cuff. That can be a lifelong injury. Just do enough to see what's needed to do a good handstand.
Asker+1 yIf I tried that shit ima fuck up a lot more than just my rotator cuff, whatever that even is š
- +1 y
That is a hard skill to leanrā¦but once you get the kick of it⦠itās not too badā¦being light and petite helps.
I did that into my 30s till I broke my foot.(. a different incident. )
3K opinions shared on Other topic. I was trying at one point but ended up giving up because it didn't seem worth the effort.

Asker+1 yWhy would you want to do the splits? Lol
Asker+1 yLmaooo they really dont, never have I heard a woman say she prefers flexible men š
Asker+1 yYep that's a better choice indeed

The same reason guys wonder if a girl does the splits, will she stick to the floor. š³š„“

Why do my comments made below another person's comment wind up 20 other comments down the page? Kind of ruins it for me.

I was at Papa Johnās picking up a pizza and that floor had a fine dusting of flour everywhere and I almost did a split and told them about it. All I got was, yeah be careful itās slippery even with no water or liquid.

Asker+1 yWhat nice coworkers lmao, if you would've successfully split your balls, that's what their reaction would've been š
+1 yLast time I tried doing the splits I spit my pants instead.

Asker+1 yI'm not trying to sound like a dick here calling you old cause you aren't and you are still a good looking woman but I think you are getting too old for the splits šš
- +1 y
Not really, you just have to keep in practice. If you keep yourself toned and limber it will be a lot easier.
Asker+1 yI'm messing with you, I didn't think to get this far with my head still intacted to my body ha
I know there's probably women out their in their mid 30s to 40s that can probably still do da splits
463 opinions shared on Other topic. Nope but ik if I stretched for maybe a week or a week and a half, I can do the splits
im stiff asf usually lol
17 Reply
Asker+1 yA week? What harsh exercises are you talking about cause going from stiff to bendy in a week sounds crazy š
Asker+1 yOh nawh, medieval is just wild, went back to the 1400s for a hamstring stretch haha
I didn't know it worked like that but great genetics I guess
Asker+1 yI mean... you just put a leg on the wall or something and boom stretching, but I won't bash your stretching techniques ššÆ
Asker+1 yDon't you dare picture me stretching lmao
I don't even stretch to run, nothing ever happens, them damn liars
I'm like 20% certain there's many medieval methods but what method would this be? Do you jump off a surface and land on the splits on a pile of rocks or something, like some medieval gymnast shit š

Asker+1 yYou used to skateboard, have you ever had the board make you do an unexpected split when you only land one leg on the board and the board just rolls away? Lol
- +1 y
yeah when you skateboard you experience everything lol i meant like ACTUAL splits that im doing willingly
Asker+1 yYep them credits cards bring back trauma, yea elementary and middle school is a long time, it's possible you've stiffen up, apparently that's the term for it ha.
- +1 y
i dont think my wallet has healed from that trauma... BUT at least it teaches you to be smart with skateboards quickly tho lol yeah i probably have
Asker+1 yYou did not just call it a wallet šš
But yes you learn a lot from skating and build several traumas and flashbacks š- +1 y
yeah its a saying lol like referencing your wallet or bank account
Asker+1 yI wish that was a saying here that shit sounds so weird š

Asker+1 yWell losing flexibility is possible from what people are saying here, apparently the term that's used is stiff up, have you've maintained your flexibility?
- +1 y
Im flexible even tho i dont do splits regularly i hav muscle memory
Asker+1 ySounds effective, that can explain why you were a good gymnast with the bit of time you put into it
+1 yNo. Im not very flexible and I definitely think that tends to be a deal breaker for some men
