Yeah but it’s not the same as robbing a bank to please ourselves. It is more on the morally-superior side.
For many years I have debated one of my friends (our whole lives in fact) and I find the English language to cause problems in defining accurate meanings, such as with this case. Also people (Americans especially) are too lazy to write more letters and words to convey more accurately. This leads to confusion and arguments. Conflation is dangerous. We might think we have sufficient words to differentiate things but the truth is we don’t for the deep questions/issues or we don’t use them when we should.
not sure, I don't think so...
I'd gladly sacrifice myself for my loved ones, and would gladly save them from harm or trouble, but... I don't think I would find it a pleasure
relieved, yes... but that can also be stressful rather than a pleasure, lol
not always, no... sometimes relieve comes from numbing, and it is temporary... that can be some kind of trauma, lol
There are those who go above and beyond just so that people like and approve of them. So it is for their own benefits also.
When some people are lonely , they may be willing to do practically anything just to keep others in their life even if their efforts lead to severe burnout. Sacrificing may make people think more highly of them. Lol.
A great way to receive attention from others is to make ourselves a constant presence in their life. People in general are greedy and if we constantly offer to do something for them at no cost, then they are likely to flatter and compliment us in return. For some people, this flattery and adoration is their life force and they will go to extreme lengths to secure a constant supply. Lol.
making the people in my life, happy... definitely is the driving force in my life, yes...
my dedication to them is genuine, yes... also yes, it is the way in which makes me twice as happy, because I love to see them happy and of course their reciprocation is usually more, what they do for me is usually more than what I do for them
but, I would never do it in a way that is not healthy... nor for them not for myself... genuine happiness instead
I hate the word "sacrifice" because it means that I'm losing something in the process.
I can go to all the needed lengths to be a help or support. But I never feel like I'm losing anything because I do that. It's my conscious decision.
Do I please myself? Probably, in a way. Because if I help, I secure the well-being of those important to me. What makes me happy.
Not in my case.
My actions are genuine.
I don't feel better because I sacrificed something for someone.
I feel better because someone's situation as somehow gotten better.
What you're referring to is "ego" which is not a good reason to help someone.

Seems you were homeschooled and thus don't know the meanings of words.
Maybe lookup the word "sacrifice" and then reread what you've asked. After you've hanged your head in shame for a few hours, come back to us.
It's false. Sacrifices are painful and you only do them for the sake of the other person.
Opinions are not true or false. Facts and fallacies are.
When we help our loved ones it is fulfilling.
We don't do it for a good night's sleep.
Not really , I sacrificed so much for my kids that I don’t have much of a financial future so it didn’t really please me
sacrifice is the opposite of pleasing ourselves.
This question is a little contradicting. Do you know what sacrifice means?
I don't think so. Sacrificing is hard to do and maybe painful.
Given that you love them and they love you, yes
very much so.
Yes it is!
I am here to have fun
