Why are mean girls harder to deal with than jerks?

Whenever a man is a total jerk towards another guy, many times they will fight and sometimes become friends after a beer or chat. Problem solved. In the case they don't become friends, at least they have mutual respect towards each other and moved on.

When our gender is mean towards another girl or woman, no amount of standing up to her will solve it. Even after a catfight or if they were to punch each other (not all women just slap, some can punch too), they are still bickering on and on; talking bad about the other women to others, nonstoppable.

Obviously this is just a general rule and there are exceptions but this is the difference I've been encountering all my life. Why is it harder when girls are mean others one another vs when men are jerks to other dudes?

I've also seen some girls even fake a friendship (even including a fake apology too) after a fight just to avoid trouble but still hate the other girl. I don't see that happening between guys.

Girls tend to hold grudges longer than most guys do , why that is? who knows , but from my experiences with girls ‘ Most girls’ get off on drama , they love gossip , they get off on that shit , where most guy’s don’t really give a fuck. A girl can talk on the phone for hours with her girlfriend , where guys’ don’t even like Talking on the phone much. So i think it comes down to how a females brain is wired , a female’s brain is racing with a bunch of things at one time , where a guy’s brain doesn’t , They did a whole study on this to find out that’s why Guy’s and girls’ think differently about a bunch of things , So I guess when she is mad or upset her brain is racing with so many things making it harder for her to just let it go , just my guess lol

I would say because you´re perspective is slightly wrong since guys can also have a long time of being angry at each other. So not all conflicts between guys turn into friends and in my case it´s the minority. But besides I would say that guys sometimes are better at putting a conflict to an end.

That's why I said sometimes in my post. The ''and they became friend'' scenario, I've seen that happening more when guys fight each other than when women fight. They don't always become friends (off course not) but they don't go plotting schemes against each other on and on.
When have you heard of a man plotting a prologued fake friendship with another man or elaborating a fake apology meanwhile continuing to talk behind his back to others? I know there is an exception to the rule but that's not very common in men.

Likewise, I still have yet to see two women becoming best friends right after a bad physical fight? I haven't seen that.

I have a feeling I'm missing a lot in my life :D

As I work mainly with men and I saw a lot of situations where the characters didn't click in and men were mean for each other, made not very nice things to each other and so on.

So... it's more the matter of perspective.

But, I do agree men have more solving problem approach. Unfortunately, not all of them and not always :D In the end of the day I assume they are the same human beings as we, women :D

Women have the sixth sense and aim directly where it hurts. We know that is someone is insecure about their acne or hair that if you target that specific feature the voice in your head will never go away. Anyone can be mean and catty.

This is because during prehistoric and also often since then the social hierarchy among women is based on attractiveness and sociability. Men are adapted to settle disputes with violence, which is so high-stakes that they also tend to find ways to deescalate situations. Women are adapted to settle disputes through shaming and ostracizing.

Girl wars are almost always verbal aimed at social isolation. It goes back to tribal days - at the least women needed support in child birth

They are more subtle about it.. they aren't mean directly in your face. They give backhanded compliments and talk bad about you behind your back.

Because men are logical. Logic has a conclusion, and end. Emotion doesn't. Emotion goes on as long as you want to indulge it. And that's what mean girls do. They indulge thier highly twisted thoughts.

Yeah our gender can be complicated in that aspect. Even after a catfight, if the women were to magically make peace, it tends to be fake apologies and fake friendship... meanwhile secretly still talking garbage about them behind their backs.
That definitely doesn't happen between men when they fight. I've never heard of a man elaborating a fake friendship towards another man.
