Is he a bad spender?

My friend told me that he doesn't have spending issues BUT... he did mention that he once opened up 8 different credit cards for his girlfriend due to her immense spending. Then he lost his job so he failed to pay all these credit card bills so it ruined his credit. Since it ruined his credit, he and his ex wife had a very hard time finding an apartment to live in. The only landlord that would accept him is an apartment that costed 2600 a month in rent.- which is severely overpriced. Then his ex wife (lives together with him and the kids) claims that she wanted to go back to her home country , Armenia, to meet her parents whom she hadn't seen in 12 years. He paid for her entire trip. Throughout the vacation, she asked him for another 2000 dollars in cash. He didn't hesitate to wire it all over to her. Meanwhile, he spends 127 dollars on a comedy show, 150 dollars on a bottle of perfume, 50 on alcoholic drinks, 200 on dinners. Towards the end, he says he was late on paying his cell phone bill and light bill.

Does this sound normal or is he an idiot?

He also says that he has been billed on his credit card for his ex wife's gym membership which she hadn't gone to work out at for 3 years. He says that it must've been accumulated to several thousand dollars over the years. Whenever he threatens to cancel the gym membership since she never workout there, she says "I'll go... I'lll go" but she never ends up going. He still never cancels the membership. Its been years.

yea... and he doesn't even have the money to spend... he is very stressed about his finances right now but he STILL looks for excuses to overspend.

besides genetically having Low IQ passed on... there's also the breeding of stupidity. You can't expect stupid parents to breed intelligence into their kids. there's nature and nurture.
Well. evolution will eventually get rid of all the dumb ones anyways.

when kids are born into stupidity, stupidity is the only thing they ever knew. stupidity is the first thing they saw coming out at birth and its the only thing they've seen their entire lives. Stupidity is considered normal for them. They think everyone else also behaves the same way as them.

Once stupidity becomes an INGRAINED HABIT into them, it is very difficult for them to automatically start thinking smart.

I understand your point and I agree that most kids remain trapped in the stupid cage. But some escape. Some see through the reckless behavior and don’t follow in their parents footsteps

I agree. But there are exceptions. Rarely. But it does happen. I guess I just refuse to give up hope. If someone realizes their life is a mess and they want out…they should be able to escape

you can start realizing your life is a mess and you can copy a smart person and make 1 wise decision. but once that smart person is gone... they will go back to making those same stupid decisions. Because that is simply the way their brain is programmed from childhood.

What you said is true and tragic. It is the common outcome. I’m just saying that there are exceptions and not every kid is doomed to follow the footsteps of their idiotic parents

Exceptions are quite rare
No amount of nurture can turn a low IQ individual into a high IQ individual.
