Yay! more dog breeds!
I had a ton of Great Danes, so I'm partial. But, they die so early. It's not worth the heartache and not fair to them to keep bringing them into the world without working on their genes.
Mastiffs have it even worse than Danes when it comes to health problems. Greyhounds tend to have a lot of issues and run off or start fights. No to long haired dogs. Corgis are cute, but I have no experience with them. Boxers are sweethearts and so cute, but tend to have issues around the nose and mouth.
Mastiffs are amazing. I had a "mountain mastiff" as a kid and they are just the best temperament, lower shedding hair, and just the right amount of cuddly but not co-dependent, more independent and also the right level of athleticism and energy.
I used to think corgis were super cute (and they are cute), but after meeting a dozen or more, I am not impressed with their personalities AT ALL.
The other ones I like a lot on this list are Shih Tzu and Saint Bernard. STs have super great personalities, but they can be a bit much in your face and needing attention. SBs are amazing but shed and drool far too much, though I LOVE how big they are.
Oh god… This pup is so cute, looks a lot like my pup’s childhood!
@LaFemmeFatale_1 it’s the closest picture I could find to my childhood pup; that's cute we had similar dogs 🥰 I have no pictures of him unfortunately all lost 😢
I think Saint Bernard's are beautiful dogs.
I bet you're not even going to mention a dog breed that I had before my current dog
Maybe. ill get through most of the well known breeds anyway
Then you're not getting to that breed. Very few people even know what it is
I love how regal Great Dane is!
I have a Cane Corso and Alabai mix, we adopted him, I believe he also had a Labrador Grandma.
This is Cane Corso
This is Alabai
Thanks God for his Labrador Genes, or he’d be totally intimidating.

It was the Corgi or the ' Tzu out of the options for me. I took the Corgi option. I would've preferred a Scottish Terrier or a Maltese Terrier or even a West Highland. Ah well.
I don't mind bigger dogs, but at least with a small-to-medium dog, I could lift them, without feeling cringe at how small it is. Dogs too small I feel bad for and afraid of stepping / breaking / dropping. Scary 🐶🐕
I couldn't carry even a dog the size of the Boxer. Too heavy 🪨
Obviously, I'm going to be biased towards the corgi since I'm from Pembrokeshire. But I do like the dopiness of boxers too.
I would probably go with Greyhound. That's what I voted for in your pool. We have a neighbor who has a rescue and he is such a peaceful and gentle dog. I believe they sleep a lot as well.
I chose the boxer. I think their cute. I think personally it’s easier to take care of smaller dogs but I wouldn’t ever get a corgi even though their also cute.
had a Shi Tzu, very sweet. not all the same, they have "dog-onality". St Bernard if enough space but they slobber like a waterfall.
none my fav.
I'd have to say boxers. They have a lot of personality. Shi Tzus can be social but they are dumb as a bag of hammers for the most part. I don't have much experience being around the other dog breeds mentioned.
My family had a Boxer at one point when I was a kid, so I went with the Boxer. 😋
great dane or st. bernard.
but why not both.
Corgis and St Bernards would do the best with me out of these.
I love the dopey face on the mastiff
haha like 'huhhh?' *raises ear*
So cute
Large dogs are beautiful but I prefer smaller lap dogs like the ST.
Shih Tzu and Corgi (they have cute butts)
The Boxer needs spay or neuter by age 6 months old because if not than they have a high chance later in life to get breast/ chest cancer. I have been through this with my late Boxer, Samantha.
Corgi!
