Would you go back using beepers like it was common in the 90s or stick with using iPhones when you’re able to text?

I always hated pagers, and I was responsible for moving the bank I worked for to using text to our cell phones, allowing most of us to do away with our pagers. Nearly 90% of pager users turned in their pagers once they could receive pages on their cell phones (this was pre-smartphone - we were using Nextel phones at the time, and had just transitioned to Blackberry Nextels when we got bought out).

I still carry a voice pager for the fire department.
In fact we just got new ones that have more features than the Minitor 6 that we used to have.
New radios are next, now I will only have to carry 1 radio, instead of 2 of them.

Both. I'd use the pager for anything or anyone I don't want to have my actual number. Like services you sign up for that ask for a cell/phone number for no apparent reason I'd give them the pager. Would cut out a lot of spam and robot calls. Only people I know or trust can contact me directly. W

Actually, I would go back to use the old type of Sprint cell phone...

TBH, I never used beepers, and never had an iPhone, so I guess I would stick with good ol Android.. LOL..

I have to admit, the cell phone is a handy gadget
