How can someone be so expressionless?

Heard about exciting/happy/good news, expressionless. Heard about jokes or funny things, expressionless too, like holding in the laugh to keep a straight; flat face. Only shows expression when upset and angry. Their face is so cold and boring that i dont even want to look at it when im talking to them, it makes me mad (on the inside) because their face is lowering my mood. Do you know or ever encountered with someone like this? That you prefer to look at a pig than look at their expressionless face.

I usually have to force my expressions. I still have all the regular emotions, it's just an extra step to make them show up (and show up properly) on my face.

Maybe this person is the same way and just doesn't bother putting in the extra work, or expresses positive emotions a different way (like giving a thumbs up)?

Your need to validated through the form of their expressions is your own personal issue. That’s like being dull and disliking a person for being so bubbly and chatty or saying they’re being fake for such an outgoing personality. We don’t know why certain people can’t or simply don’t want to match our energy, but it isn’t their responsibility to do so. You want your jokes laughed at or tone reciprocated and irritated they’re not doing it. That’s a you problem to sort with god.

sometimes life can wear you down. If they cause such a visceral reaction maybe its best if you dont speak to them.
