Tough question to answer because the luckier you are, the better life you'll have. But if you're not intelligent, you won't see life the same and you'll likely be living in ignorance. You could be the luckiest person in the world... be born into a great family with tons of opportunities, and network with a lot of people that add genuine value to your life, find the perfect partner for yourself, work your dream job, win the lottery. But if you're not intelligent, your life wouldn't have the same meaning as if you were intelligent.
You know what they say... Ignorance is bliss. It's ironic. I know it sounds stupid, but I would probably not want to lose my intelligence even if it meant having a dream life.
Good point👍🏻
a smart person would make more out of any lucky situation going on... lol

Lucky. Google this:
"Warren Buffett" "Ovarian Lottery"
For instance:
conversableeconomist.com/.../
Besides, look at all the "nepo babies" who have fabulous lives. Why? Because they won their ovarian lottery of being born to people who also had fabulous lives. They didn't need any talent or smarts. They just needed the luck of being born to the right person in the right place at the right time.
Here's an example:
Donald Trump.
Not the smartest or most talented guy. In fact, he's rather dangerously incompetent at quite a few things like his failed businesses and marriages.
But he won his ovarian lottery; he was born to Fred Trump who also won his ovarian lottery being born to his mother who started the Trump "empire". Donald Trump didn't "work his way up". He never had to interview for a job. He probably doesn't know what the price of gasoline is near Mar-A-Lago. But, he won his lottery and is a "billionaire" although he seems to be having large financial problems at the moment.
This is a good one which goes a long way toward echoing Democratic principles.

A smart person can create their own luck as I see it, like a really smart Poker player can capitalize on fold equity even if they get really cold-decked (horrible cards). Besides, luck is a short-term concept.
In the longest run, those who repeatedly make smart choices tend to beat those who make dumb ones and luck out. Luck runs out and those who make dumb choices repeatedly always end up bankrupt in the end if they don't cash out before their luck runs out.
Well said🙂
Intelligent. Implication is that you are smart but actually know HOW to apply that smartness. I've seem some "smart" people and they are really functional dolts because these use their "smarts" in totally useless endeavors.
Listen you try your luck in Las Vegas not in real life. So be smart about things don't take a chance on being lucky all the time. That's just fucking dumb.
It's better to be smart because luck eventually runs out.
I would rather be smart an make my own luck.
LUCKY !!! Lots of dummies luck into a product or invention which makes them wealthy.
Smart is for lifetime lucky is circumstantial✅
Lucky. Because you can be the smartest person in the room. If your timing is of just by luck you can still fail.
Lucky, being smart isn't good enough for this world.
The smarter I get, the luckier I tend to become...
Lucky. Smart is too much work.
