+1 yYes, in the sense that you took one drug without knowing it was laced with fentanyl, you can't call that an OD. That's murder! It's no different than giving someone a glass of ginger ale that you know has poison in it that'll kill them.

After reading the opinion's here, it seems you are the only one that understands what I mean.
You can smoke meth for years to help with the horrible life people with ADHD suffer from and they didn't die from it.
But when the fricken Chinese made Fentanyl and shipped it to Mexico to have the drug cartels distribute it all over the United States and the dealers laced it with the poisonous drug, then the people who unknowingly invested it were fricken murdered by the Chinese and the Mexican drug cartels.
Why in the fu*c does everyone think it's an overdose? It's a posionous ingestion.
It's only in the past few years the Chinese have been poisoning Americans, right after they killed millions of people from COVID.
My boyfriend did not FUCKING overdose, he was poisoned by Fentanyl that the Chinese made to kill more Americans.
Isn't it a cooinsidece that 210,000 Americans died in 2023 from Fentanyl poisoning and now the FUCKING Chinese are illegally invading America. I mean Fuck, they had to kill Americans 🇺🇸 to make room for the chink's to have room to live here?

So far, the only people I know of that OD's on it was George Floyd and possibly my friend, Rae. Floyd had already intentionally taken way too much long before the cops even showed up and THAT'S what killed him!
As for Rae, all I know is that she'd been dealing with a fractured neck that she said her 4 year old did about a year before I met her. Although, it COULD'VE been her abusive hubby that fractured it! Apparently, her Dr. gave her some for the pain. I was told, back then (18 years ago) that it came in lollipop and patch form. I can only guess that she put on a patch and went to lie down for a while and her hubby put another patch on her while she was sleeping. Rae was not a druggie and was too smart to OD on that stuff!

+1 yI lost a cousin and a friend to Fentanyl. It often kills no matter the dose.(Last month, a man on my floor was handed Fentanyl and died en route to the hospital.)

My boyfriend died 6 months ago from Fentanyl poisoning. To me, since the Chinese people made it, they murdered him in my eyes.
I look at overdose as someone who takes something on purpose to take themselves out. Self eliminate.
Fentanyl is a lethal drug that kills people by poisoning them without them knowing it was something they ingested on purpose. They were unknowingly poisoned to death.

@handsomelad70
The dose doesn't have anything to do with it. It's poison. These people were poisoned by the Chinese and I say it's murder!
There are plenty of Chinese people coming to America 🇺🇸 maybe we should give them a some Fentanyl their country made and see if they die from being poisoned. I'm sure some of them are taking illegal drugs. Why not? They're illegal too. - +1 y
The Chinese, George Soros, all blacks being criminals. Racism, xenophobia and paranoia never rest.

Sorry about your loss, sage2021. To me, these overdoses are slow suicides. Some folk here and everywhere exhibit their astonishing lack of human kindness by wishing them dead or incarcerated rather than helping them.

I feel good that I helped another human being that was affliction with a brain deformity causing havoc in his thinking. The drugs helped him.
The reason I feel good about helping him, not only was he my boyfriend but he was a vet and ended up homeless after his mom died and he didn't have anywhere to live. So he eventually moved in with me. He helped me as well with so many things.
I just walked by the apartment he died in. He was cleaning it up after the people moved out.
I really feel he is watching over me. Some pretty strange things have been happening for no reason other than he wants me to know he's watching over and is around me. I know it sounds crazy, and it's all so new to me I just don't know what to think when strange things happen around me.
Sorry for rambling on.
Take care ☮️

+1 yThat's not how medical examiners determine cause of death. You have a lethal amount of fentanyl in your body. That's called an overdose. Unless someone put it in your lemonade, you took it. You may not have known it was on the weed, but you still put it in your body in an affirmative act. You can be poisoned by lead in your water pipes because you are not injecting/ingesting something toxic intentionally. If there was fentanyl in your home water supply, that would be fentanyl poisoning. If you smoke cigarettes one after another and die of excess nicotine in your body, it's nicotine overdose. If you rub concentrated nicotine tar on your infant and he dies, it's nicotine poisoning.

I vehemently disagree with you. It's a poisoning. Ask the fricken Chinese people who made it if it's poison. It takes a miniscule amount of Fentanyl not a lot at all and you die. That is not considered an overdose it an accident! - +1 y
@sage2021
you can disagree all day long but as someone who routinely deals with coroner's reports that just isn't how they're filled out. doesn't matter what you think. doesn't matter what i think. i'm sorry you lost someone to fentanyl and i'm sorry the report doesn't say what you'd like. however its worded though, it's still a tragedy

+1 yNot something I understand and have never seen, we don't take drugs, we even avoid prescription ones. I didn't realize how bad it is, it's the number one killer. What is the cause?
Very bad time to be a person that experiments with drugs. When I was your age, kids did that and few died... but it was bad enough. Very scary how dangerous the stuff is even with accidental exposure..
Sorry for your loss... how awful. I'm sure some are disassociated from the reality of this for we haven't experienced it, it's just an article in the news. Losing 270,000 people dead year... this is worse than most any war.
00 Reply 907 opinions shared on Other topic. I would never stick up for drug abusers. But the people that are in pain can’t seem to get pain killers from the normal channels. It is the abusers seeking their high are the ones who ruin it for the ones that need some help.
Biden should be held responsible for the deaths caused by excessively strong and fentanyl laced pills on the streets!10 Reply13K opinions shared on Other topic. They are ODs. Anybody that uses street drugs and dies from it gets no sympathy from me. They chose to do this and knew the dangers. Still they wanted to be cool, or do what everyone else is doing. "Them's the hazards."

Man, if you don't know the definition of overdose and don't know the definition of poisoning then maybe you aren't smarter than a first grader and need to go back to school.
And NOBODY IS ASKING FOR YOUR SYMPATHY. NOPE YOU ARE MR. GOT IT ALL TOGETHER! EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE IS ROSEY! Hope you never choke on a piece of steak. It could happen ya know but you'll take the chance anyway right. It couldn't happen to you. 👺 - +1 y
@sage2021 I understand what happened to your boyfriend. He did not consciously take his own life. However, you have to be living in a cave not to be aware of the dangers of taking recreational drugs. You are buying something from a criminal who also got it from another criminal who got it from some criminal enterprise in another country. Quality control is not really a priority. Most people who use these drugs know people who have died from an OD and yet they do it anyway. My wife's cousin died from an OD a few years ago. He was in his 20s. He was in and out of rehab several times. He knew what the dangers were yet he took the risk anyway.
People need to take responsibility for their own actions. To accommodate their participation in an illegal activity the states are expected to set up safe injection sites and stock Narcan in every public building for the addict's safety.
I do not have all the answers and I really do not have it all together but I am trying to make my own life expectancy and it does not include illegal drugs.
I always cut up my steak into small pieces and chew it up good like my mother told me to do - +1 y
Nice empathy for sick folk (which people with addictions are) exitseven. Why don't you say they should be locked up in concentration camps?
- +1 y
@handsomelad70
Right on! I saw this person carrying a sign that said "Drug addicts are people too".
My boyfriend took drugs because he had severe ADHD and they calmed down the symptoms. I researched ADHD and to be honest, I don't think I would want to live with my mind going every which way all day and night. I'd go crazy. I never tried to make him stop the drugs. Afterall, I wasn't living with a horrible brain deformity causing me to live such a devistating life.
- +1 y
@handsomelad70 They are drug addicts, It is not a disease. Can you call sex addiction a disease? If there was some shame involved in drug addiction there would be much less of it. Calling it a disease makes the insurance companies pay for rehab.

Thank goodness someone evinces some empathy here.
+1 yLOL. What, exactly is the difference between an “overdose” and “poisoning?” The First Law of Toxicology applies.
02 Reply- +1 y
LOL. You are the one who has a weird idea that overdosed and poisoned are different. If you want anyone else to understand the distinction you are trying to draw, you will have to explain it to us.

+1 y"overdose" and "poisoning" are the same thing litterally. because wether something is a poison that kills you or not is always determined by the dosis that you take.

like there's that ideom "the dosis makes the poison" for a reason.

And you went out to dinner to get a nice tasty steak dinner and right when you were eating it you did suddenly! That Aviator Tom just overdosed on steak laced with Fentanyl. What an idiot! He knows that people are weird these days and slip some Fentanyl into food cause he hates people and he's killing them by poisoning them without them knowing it! Nah man, he fricken overdosed! - +1 y

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yif someone takes an aspirin that's been laced with fentanyl, and he thought he was just taking an aspirin, it's poisoning.
If someone does a street drug that's been laced with fentanyl, it's an overdoes.

Why does the media insist on calling Fentanyl deaths overdoses when clearly the Chinese and the cartels are murdering Americans 🇺🇸 by poisoning's?
